What is the skeptic overlords opinion about John Titor?

To preface the question I look at his story about his history from the childs perspective.... Meaning I did not pay much attention to world events as a child unless they were really world changing. So errors like the olymipics or definitions like civil war and civil unrest I give a little leeway too. But so far I have seen things happen a certain way, as evidenced by my screen name.

So I am curious about the SkepticOverlords opinion given this last year especialy with Hillary running.

What's with the commercials on the MIX shows lately, promoting AbovePolitics.com and BelowTopSecret.com? Doesn't seem right to me.

If one is interested in politics or whatever is in belowtopsecret, one will find it on ones own. I get that you have a business to operate, but did you get to 1 mill unique visitors through ads? NO!

So, If want a juicy cheeseburger, I will find one on my own. I don't want to find an ad for McDonalds on ATS that says , "get your burger here".

You want integrity from your members and as members we deserve integrity from you.

MY question is , How far are you going to go to make a buck?

You know, now that the point has been brought up, I would like to see selective advertising. Meaning, would you ever consider not running DHS advertising?

Going to deviate from the norm a tad. >_>

SO, do you have any plans talking about how you got started at ATS or how the idea came about with the other 2 amigos.

And my last question: ATS Best of the Month in a monthly Magazine for newsstand sales with written articles and whatnot. Could increase publicity of some things.

I got one!!

We've managed to make it to a huge milestone; the 10 year anniversary. Where do you see us in another 10 years? What do you see ATS being then?

Also, is it your belief that ATS will change how MSM is reported to people?

Have you been thinking to advertise ATS on public radio ? or maybe even tv commercial ?
And have you ever been thinking to put up a meeting where all ats members could come to talk, drink & eat and stuff, meaning of course if enough members would show up.

I'd like to start my question to SO by mentioning that Dave and Johnny have done an amazing job with ATS MIX....they've done some excellent interviews with some really great guests from the likes of Nick Pope and Graham Hancock....Now to SO, since you have Johnny and Dave right there.....who would YOU like to hear them interview?

Apologies if its been asked before, but I'm still reading and I wanted to get it in there before anyone else if they haven't already - "What made you believe any of this? Have you had an experience that has changed your belief in the 'weird' to such a positive degree that you felt you had to open the site and discuss it with others?". I'm always interested in why people turn to seeking answers about the weird and what their own personal journey was that made them think or know that this isn't everything, that there is something not quite right about the world and that we can't surely be the only intelligent beings around.

Or, if that's been asked, then, "whats the weirdest thing thats occured since you've 'owned' ATS that is related to owning a conspiracy website? And of course, what was your response to the weirdness?"

Or, last one, I promise "what topics are your personal favorites, are there some topics or areas like the paranormal, ufos, etc that you feel you HAVE to read threads on? Or are you just interested in general, or were once, now too caught up in the running of ATS that its taken more of a back-seat"

I have a couple, feel free to pick any of the following Dave.

1.Ok Boss, is there any plans in the works to hold/host an Above Top Secret official event? It was mentioned during November 5th build up that this was a possibility in the future and I was wondering if anything more concrete has come about.

2.What are your thoughts about the effects of the internet on the upcoming US Presidential Elections. Do you think we will see a rise in online campaigning?

3.Going forward, how do you see ATS evolving as a media source? Do you feel that we can crack the monopoly that MSM has on the flow of information to the masses? How do believe we could accomplish this?

Having been on ATS for some time now, and a regular reader of the Alien/UFO forums, I often see threads where the OP has posted a link to photos/video of a suspected UFO/alien, which is obviously (at least to my eyes) something much more mundane. There are numerous examples here on ATS, including photos/vids of high altitude contrails lit by the setting sun, clouds which hide supposed semi-cloaked UFOs, and bushes that are supposed to conceal EBE's etc...

Many of these are quickly debunked by the more observant members on here, but they often linger on, with less experienced members coming along and stirring things up again, despite it being obvious to the majority that OP has something much more mundane. Let me be clear that I have no problem with people posting such threads in the first place, and see it as a necessary way for members to start off an investigation into something they think might be un-usual.

My questions to you are:

Don't you think that by allowing such threads to continue, we are potentially harming the reputation of ATS, when it it obvious there is nothing further to gain by letting these "red-herrings" run?

Do you think it would not be better to close (or even add an official warning to the thread title) these threads, thereby acknowledging that they are dead-ends?

We do it with "hoax" threads (by adding a warning/label), why not these?

Would you consider having a specific team of experienced UFO investigators/people knowledgeable in atmospheric or celestial phenomena (the already existing mods could do it I suppose) who's job it would be to close threads that have obviously been debunked and are not going anywhere?

First and foremost. Thank you for all the hard work that you and the other Amigo's and staff, have put into making this site a great community.

Question:

Are there any threads that you consider personal favorites? If so which ones?

Respectfully ,
highfreq

Is there a plan in place if you and/or ATS staff were approached from someone with real physical” proof” (ie et body, ship, bigfoot etc.) That the person would be willing to surrender. If so how would it be implemented to ensure safety and confidentially but still conform to ATS values of inform and educate.

Q:
Could ATS create special formal investigative areas, and a safe and anonymous place (out of the chat playpen) for people who want to tell us their secrets and disclosures? Maybe partnerships with orgs like NUFORC or MUFON and leveraged member professionals? A collective social intelligence base.

Detail:

With todays small unfunded researching entities being so under staffed, ATS could help society in expanding real investigatory with professional acumen and participation from the thousands of now quiet professional members at ATS. We could have real transparent networked investigations with MD, PhD, former government and professional people donating their time to do real science. LABS areas for different investigations with ATS pro-member status staffing different LABS on UFO, Paranormal and Conspiracy.

Journalists, Writers, Artists, Video and CGI pros, Photographers, Psychologists, Physicists and other pro ATS members would come out of the woodwork. Certify them and put them to work! Get real answers, real results to bring to the public.

This could be the most professional networked transparent volunteer study of anything ever in history. The news networks would come to ATS for details on events.. People would come to ATS like they come to CNN for the news and analysis.

Authoritative leveraged intelligence.

Could this be in the future of ATS, or will someone else have to do this???

...SO;
With all the latest whisperings re; TPTB wanting to control Our internet, what, if any protocols, security features or the like is ATS currently looking into to support our right to continue to assemble here and speak freely without fear of the white or black vans pulling up in front of our houses because we just might be getting close to the truth about a particular CT?
BTW- thank you for providing us all this oasis from ignorance. Long may we all post!

S.O.

Until recently, you and the other amigos were somewhat shrouded in mystery in regards to your true identity and/or appearance, as are the large majority of the ATS membership.

1. Were you at all aprehensive about revealing your identity to a large audience?

2. What impacts has this change had on your personal and professional lives?
