This isnt going to be a terribly interesting thread but on my way from Columbia, SC to Jackson, SC last night at about 6:50EST, I happened to look up
and saw what could only be described as an orangish light moving extremely fast.
I don't have any aviation background so I can only speculate on it's altitude and speed but from my perception it was flying higher than an airplane
and moving at least 10x-20x as fast as you would expect an airplane to move.
It could have just been a meteor, bouncing off the atmosphere maybe? Didnt leave too much of a trail, just a slight orangeish one behind it which
didn't stick around.
Sighting lasted only 2-3 seconds. I was wondering if anyone else was looking up and saw it too?
