firstly, that in itself is unacceptable- there is one law for all, anything else balkanises society and is unacceptable. Does Sharia affect non muslims in Pakistan, Nigeria, Sudan, Egypt etc- perhaps those persectued in those countries are just "lesser" people in your eyes:@@

Apples and Oranges. Muslim population in Pakistan 97%. Nigeria 50%. Sudan 75%. Egypt 80%. Muslims population in the UK 2.7%.

actually, and i could be reading all of this wrong, but it seems like a total apples to apples question to me.

do the non muslems in those countries also have to live under sharia law or do they get their own non sharia laws to dictate their lives. those 3%, 50%, 25% and 20% respectivly?

though i suppose that the hardline stance some take about the UK could be applied to those countries as well...ya know..."if you dont like it move"

eh im rambling, dont suppose i have a real point here

actually, tis nothing of the sort, more like apples and apples as the poster above says- in pakistan 3% of the population dont dictate any sort og agenda, and reference that in Sudan and Egypt- over there Christians are a much bigger minority than Muslims in the UK, and they are treated like proper second class citizens, and not imaginary second class as claimed by Muslims in the UK

As I said hysteria, obviously based on nothing but media hype.

No, rightful renunciation of any notion of shariah, indicative of the will of most people in this country to oppose any moves, including soft soap manouevres from this discredited archbishop

a) Shut up and put up with what? Why is it our business to get into their business? But anyway it's about oil and military strategy, not people.

So it is ok for Iraqis to oppose foreign culture, but no British people?

c) The West has been trying to Christianise the world since Christ came here!

Considering CHristianity moved WESTWARD from the middle east, this is an idiotic point, and the Crusades only occurred after previous ISLAMIC expansion/agression.

We are now trying to democratise them by force, (so we can control the flow of oil, and set up permanent bases). So what's your point?

If they vote for us to leave, we leave, end of, the only reason we are staying at the moment is to try and prevent Muslims from behading fellow Muslims on an even greater scale *and I was not pro removal of Saddam btw*

Sorry I can't help you if you don't understand the connection.

you can't help anyone because there was no connection
