I agree with you. I've seen the sun reflecting on a planes trail...it doesn't look like that! IMy guess, either a UAV or one of those spy satellite (spy eye) burnt out. I see fireballs out here several times a week. Not that large, but it burns out pretty quick.

If I had a guess, it was a high altitude spy plane, that met it demise early after takeoff, and had a lot of fuel to burn on the way down.
