I am glad some action is being taken, although be it I don't think this hits close to the real problem with the drug companies. First the companies are being charged for not revealing all the possible side effects. That is why if you take the the time to read the possible side effects, or ever pay attention to the advertisements, they do say "DEATH" is a possible side effect. That apparently was left out from the drug side effects for the drugs that caused the problems.
When a company has to list death as a side effect, what does that make one think about the drug, or the company?

Exactly Red. These ads they have are the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. First, they say the side effects so fast you are only able to comprehend a few of the many they list. Second, I believe people are so "drugged up" that they can't believe that a doctor would give them something that would cause them more harm. I try to bring awareness to the physical harm drugs/vaccines can cause, but it seems most people even on ATS do not feel it is that big of a deal. You really have to know exactly everything that is in the drug and what the potential risks are before you can even think about putting it into your body.

I agree with everything thing your saying. I am no fan of the drug companies. Am sure you figured that out. I do ask what the side effects are when the doctor tells me to take them. I don't research it further then that, usually though.
I just don't like that the drug companies are making and putting out there product with the intent of keeping us all drugged up as much as possible the charging foreign customers a darn site less then they charge people in the same country.

Advice to you, I would research further. Doc's are still given kickbacks and preferential treatment by these companies. At least get the info from the pharmacist. The pricing of drugs is another huge issue that we could spend days talking about. Basically, they can overcharge because they know people are so dependent on them that they will pay whatever it costs. And with healthcare, at least in the US, dwindling, it will just keep getting worse unless something is done.

Oh, please! How could a doctor prescribed drug ever be harmful? ‘first do no harm’, right?

Seriously, no human dis-ease was ever caused by the lack of a pharmaceutical chemical. Give the body what it needs, eliminate the poisons endemic to the American diet, and it will heal itself.
