so without any pictures or video what do you hope to get out of this "incident"?
My personal opinion is this is a hoax, a few started it and you get more jumping on the bandwagon. Just like roswell, in 60 years we will have witnesses who seen alien bodies etc
meantime you cant show me one scrap of evidence anything out of the ordinary took place. Theres even witnesses in the area who said they saw absolutely nothing. UFO "sightings" seem to get less interesting everyday

Why would the military send 10 F-16's out (not prepared for any kind of combat anyway) to investigate what this object really was? If the military really wants to retain a level of deniability about investigating UFO's, why would they send an entire squadron of F-16's out to find it, only so that all these aircraft could be seen in plain sight at the same site the UFO was seen shortly before?

I am going to go out on a limb here but keep your eyes out for a Stephenville/Dublin sighting this Saturday night (Feb 23rd).
There has been a sighting every Saturday night for the last 3 weeks.
It also seems that Ricky's first daytime sighting is in stark contrast to the Follow up sightings with the multi-colored and strobing hieroglyphs.

I do not know about down in Texas, but most areas I am familiar with scramble Air-Guard for intercepts, especially as a large number of AF is currently running sorties in Iraq and Afghanistan. I know some AF folks in Texas, and the base they are stationed at is still very active, but I have no idea how many bases that applies to right now. I would figure that enough Active AF do have intercept-live munition flights in TX simply due to the fact they skirt our southern border.
BTW, this "craft" could very easily be a Black Project, as only a very limited number of personnel would have knowledge of it, and even Regular Forces would for the most part not have need-to-know. If that is the case, then I could understand any and all harassment that may occur, as any wit represents a potential security compromise. Again however, where's the evidence of the harassment?

What I notice is how the Mufon folks keep calling the Stephenville events
"a very significant sighting". It is, but I think that they have decided that this is an ET sponsored event. Their report comes out in April.
