My Avatar, despite appearances, is not just badass for badass' sake- it is chock-full-o symbolism.
I thought up the basic design for it 3 years ago, after my grandfather was murdered on July 21st, 2005.
The TF brand in the corner was the cattlebrand my grandpa designed (he didn't actually have cattle at the time, but that didn't stop him from
burning it into just about all of his woodwork).
The Eagle Globe and Anchor, which personally I have a little bit of a love-hate relationship with, is there cause my grandpa's the one who taught me
to shoot, and he was absolutely thrilled when I wrote home to let him know I qualified expert.
The Jolly Roger is there... well because why the hell not. Jolly Rogers are cool.
It's wearing a cowboy hat because at one point my grandfather was a rodeo cowboy.
The crossed bones are wrenches because he was later a mechanic. (Originally one of those was going to be a pipe wrench, sense he'd also been a
roughneck).
And the cigar- just about the only vice my grandpa had.
