He doesn't have to endorse anyone. He certainly isn't required to. I prefer that he endorse Obama, but that is simply my preference. I dont feel I can safely make any prediction.

I guess it's wait and see

Edwards will probably endorse the candidate that offers him the "best deal": politicos, like Edwards, typically try to position themselves so that they can secure positions of power.

I would think that, with a presidential bid out of the question, Edwards might like to bargain for a spot on a presidential ticket as Vice President. With this in mind, Edwards might conceivably seek to work out a deal with Obama. Typically presidential candidates seek to even out their support from various regions of the country. In this case, however, Obama might seek to gain support from the "white" segment of the US population.
