oh, ok, yeah ive heard of that before, i just hadnt heard about the technology. interesting.
stanton friedman is a very interesting man, and i enjoy hearing what he has to say, whether it be true or false.

haha. i hadnt thought that they would copy any of our inventions. i can see it now, grey aliens kickin back in a lazy boy sippin on some heineken, and watchin the Giants upset the patriots in the super bowl...

A better anology would be aliens giving the Cavemen a set of Tinder, and striking stone, firemakeing tools ect. (before they could create fire). With simple instuctions: ie. models on the papers showing the exact steps how to produce the fire.

That would be nice, unfortunately there is no evidence to suggest that there was anything of the sort in the Roswell crash.

Continuing the analogy - I used the example of a computer because, compared to a caveman, it would be incredibly advanced technology. Compared to Earth circa 1947 technology that could travel across the galaxy would be unimaginable.

As I raised earlier - How could our rocket technology, involving giant cylinders full of readily available Earth-produced fuel, come from a tiny saucer apparently propelled by anti-gravity or some other unknown means?

Let's take a look at night vision. The most obvious flaw here is that night vision technology was in use before the Roswell event, during the Second World War in fact. Later night vision was based on this early technology; there is no need at all to bring alien help into the equation.

Do some research on the technologies attributed by Corso and others to Roswell and you will see that the history of each is not just a sudden event, but rather a culmination of previous scientific research.

Considering the likelihood of the race that crashed at Roswell being highly advanced, I find it sort of null that our government would be able to reverse-engineer their aircraft or from any of the UFOs that have been shot down.

It's not like they're a few hundred years ahead, probably thousands, if not hundreds of thousands.

well i bet we could reverse engineer some technology aliens have if we set up some manhattan-project type situation where we really had to.

and cavemen would use the laptop screen as a mirror, then maybe in 2008 people would just be really really good looking!

I read Corso's book several years ago. There are some big concerns.
First, if this really happened, and we had these fantastic items recovered from the crash, why did they sit in some filing cabinet from 1947 until the early 1960's , and why did they put a colonel in charge of it?
I would think that since we have/had many very brilliant scientists with top secret clearance, some of them would have been given control.
Second, Corso tries to make people think that he was personally responsible for most of the advances over the last few decades, a scientific Forrest Gump.
I'm afraid, and I hesitate to speak of the dead, that the late Col. Corso may have imagined his experience. Given the age at which he wrote the book, it is not unusual for someone with dementia to truly believe that experiences they've fabricated, actually occurred. I am not saying he was a liar, just perhaps a poor soul with dementia.
I personally believe that we're not the only sentient beings in the universe. However, I do believe that evidence exists that most of the inventions mentioned were well on the way to development long before 1947.
For those that want to see how long some inventions take, see if you can locate copies of James Burkes' PBS series "Connections". It chronicled how seemingly insignificant events that occurred hundreds or thousands of years ago led to major scientific discoveries/inventions today.

Can anyone point who actually invented fiber optics? I just want to know the skeptics version. And ICs. Was there someone or some company who filed patents for it?

And to whoever said the technology used was entirely alien is misunderstood.
Humans were working on the same parallel aspect of the technology. The objects that Corso had was simply 'seeded' to steer them to the right direction.

It's not like they handed to scientists the object and say "Here - duplicate this"
It's more like what aspects of the object can be figured out to make 'useful' things. They didn't know what the object original purpose was and how they were manufactured. Human's limitations in manufacturing technology at the time to 'duplicate' the objects also make a lot of difference on what we ended up with compared to the original arthefacts. That is why I said we haven't known the true potential of the things seeded from alien technology.

And the technology was taken from other civilizations from different levels of technology, not from them only...

And to the one who asked about me getting abducted the memories are still in fragments. One of the coolest things that I remember the wall was like
grainy in texture with somekind of tiny sparkly sands in it. It doesn't have any specific color. I can't quite remember what the specific color was. Greyish? Creamy greyish? Strange. And the walls emit a glow like ambience some kind of light is emitted from everywhere but from no specific point. Even the floor I think. I surmise that this material can emit photons as well.
I am positive some one will stumble upon this technology soon.

I don't know what happened actually but I remember the whole wall turned dark in an instant and transparent a few seconds later and I can see the stars! Bilions of them!
And I kept saying to myslelf "It's beautiful! It's beautiful!"

I cried after that...

Oh yeah and there was NOTHING in the craft. It wasn't that big maybe 15-20 feet. No chairs, tables. Nothing. And it was all single piece. Flat floor and a half sphere for the top. Weird as hell. But that was only a part of it I think...

of course we all know about what supposedly happened near Roswell, NM, on 7 July, 1947. but look at the technology that came about between 5 and 15 years after the incident took place.

the Solar Battery- 1954
Artificial Intelligence- 1956
The launch of the Russian satelite Sputnik and the US satelite Explorer shortly after- 1957-58
First US rocket on the Moon- 1962

this has been discussed before on ATS, but my question to you is: is this all just a coincidence, were humans naturally advancing that rapidly in technology? or could we have possibly cheated, and stole it from galactic visitors who had a nasty accident?

Well, is there an after Roswell? I mean really. In modern times why is there a Roswell? Could some of the ghosts be still alive? ------PC

so you believe that there was an ET ship that crashed near Roswell, and that we recovered some of their tech, and used it to make further advances in our own technology?

Yes, absolute no doubt about that.

Stanton Friedman is a very good researcher in my opinion.
And I think you are right, but I didn’t have it it yet in my possession.
I also must read “Witness to Roswell’ from Thomas J. Carey en Donald R. Schmitt sometime.
I have already heard that it is very interesting to.

I also can strongly recommend you the book “In League With a UFO” from Lou Baldin.
It is a magnificent book, with a very interesting and mind boggling “Non Fiction” story about the saucer you mentioned above.
Lou Baldin is the writer, and as you probably know he is on ATS under the name Sleeper .

Tought sleeper worked construction as he has stated. I guess I missed where his true identity came out. How do you know sleeper is Lou Baldin?

what exactly are you talking about when you say ghosts? like of the aliens? or where you making a comparison?

I could believe that we are capable of reverse engineering UFO's, and might have done so... but if we did its not in the public sector. I'm sorry but aliens that can cruise the stars would be far past CD's, 2D screens and micro processors. Even we are advancing beyond that right now. Why in the world would aliens be using technology that even humans are going to consider obsolete in 10 years or less?

Have you noticed that we've been great at spreading it all around?
We haven't hogged it all for ourselves. Taiwan, South Korea,
Japan make the LCDs for laptops.
However, we do have a lock on the Intel/AMD chips.
Microsoft/Apple have a lock on the OS.

Japan usually gets the tech first. America gets a lot of things from Japan, like nintendo for example. there are tons of other things.

there is a program on the history channel right now that is talking about Corso and his book. i have never read the book, but the things they are talking about are very interesting. Corso claimed that many of the things that we have previously spoken about on this thread have been obtained through the Roswell crash.

To those that do not believe that we discovered new technology from the crash at Roswell and its all fraud, let me ask you a question. How can you explain Roswell? If it was just a weather ballon, why would the government be so hush hush about it.

One of my biggest pet peeves on this matter is people who laugh at the thought of UFO's. It is pretty ignorant and naive to think that we are the only ones in this huge universe. To me, saying that life on other planets dont exist is the same as saying life in Europe doesn't exist. I live in America and cannot see it so who knows if it exists right? I find myself always promoting this video, just because the impact it has had on me, but go on youtube and search the most important image ever taken and tell yourself that were the only planet with life on it...get real

thanks for your post Winchester. the question is not, however, whether or not UFO's exist, because most certainly, there are Unidentified Flying Objects, but whether or not ET's exist. it is easy to get the two intertwined.
