Would You Like A Diploma With That?; Mcdonalds Offers Diploma Scheme To Workers

LONDON (Reuters) - Burger chain McDonald's was among several high-profile companies given a green light on Monday to provide national qualifications to their employees, part of a shake-up of the welfare and training.

McDonald's employees will now be able to train for what are inevitably already being dubbed McQualifications -- skills equivalent to an A-level in restaurant management. A-levels are the top examination for school leavers

I think this is a pretty damn good idea.
Mcdonalds 'restaurants' are definitly the bottom of the bucket and it's good to hear that they are giving people the chance to get somewhere higher and possibly even open their own restaurants.
This scheme could be really benificial for people who perhaps did not do as well as they'd hoped in school and didn't get the qualifications they wanted, as they have another chance, even if it is through Mcdonalds.
