I thought you would be more smarter than falling into the ‘friendly’ trap with US and Israel.

Trap? Hell, no! It's all about a nation's supreme national interest. India needs America and America needs India. I don't need to specify the reasons as these are well known and which you may be aware of.

In international diplomacy, its not 'friends' that count. Whatever is done is for national interest and for mutual benefit - economic, strategic, and geopolitical.

Cheers!

Compared to the "relations" with the Muslims states which are filled with terrorists and suicide bombers? Who would want to have associations with a nation full or illiterate brainwashed terrorists ? Nobody would want to be seen associating with these kind of people unless they needed something from them.

Maybe the Muslims have been used by the US like that by the US because they were gullible and thus they think that behavior pertains to more civilized people also? Sorry but that is not the case. Any and all relations with the US and Israel have moral implications and a certain shared sense of mutual values when we have relations with like minded states. In dealing withe the barbarian Islamic states like Pakistan, SAudi Arabia etc where we have to deal with the 'dictator of the day', we are bound to prioritize our goals as we cant delude ourselves that we have anything in common with these savages.
Thus if you study our relations with countries like Israel, Uk, Japan etc, the US has always protected its allies and works in their interests of all those share its values.

Did you know in the Vietnam War the US Navy Seals had a 1500:1 kill death ration. How's that for bad ass? These guys wouldn't stand a chance against America. Nobody has seen what America can really do with no dissent from liberals. (no i'm not talking about nuclear warfare either) It would be sad what the American military would do to this rag-tag bunch of indians. Sorry friend, the Indian military could not stand for a week against the American military.

Yea in nearly a decade of fighting lol. Plus Americans have liberals breathing down our neck so of course we have to follow the rules of engagement. I don't call sneak attacks by muslim retards anything that constitutes a negative opinion on the sheer strength of the United States military. Anyone could kill US soldiers, obviously, they're human. But in a straight up fight where we know the enemy and the enemy is wearing anything but civilian clothes, nobody, lemme repeat, nobody in the world could touch us.

Very bad ass! 1500:1 kill ratio?? (It's 'ratio' not 'ration' as you mentioned!!) Wow! So what do we have here? Between 1965 and 1972, 46 SEALS were killed in Vietnam. That boils down to 1500x46=69,000!!!

You mean the SEALS killed 69,000 Vietnamese?
Then we should send just one team of SEALS to Iraq. They can win that war for America!! What the heck are 178,000 US soldiers doing there? A sheer waste of resources, what?

Dunno where you've learned your military history from!! Lol! That just reflects on the credibility of your hackneyed arguments. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing!

Cheers!

He is comparing the civilian’s dead compare to each soldier. Not actual combatants.

Heck! You mean to say SEALS kill unarmed civilians too? Now that's real bad ass!! Lol!
Shades of 'Operation Shock and Awe' in Iraq, what?!! And remember Abu Ghraib? Oh yeah! I never said the US Army isn't the best!

Ok, but seriously, let's be clear on one thing. The American troops are very good. I've interacted with them pretty often and know how they operate. It's the failure of the higher direction of war which is sad. Poor strategic planning at the higher levels is what is showing US troops in bad light.

First of all, I do realize that it is ratio, and second of all, I added a second 0 without realizing it. I didn't edit it because I was short on time, and I actually forgot about this thread until I just looked into my posts section under my profile. But nice try at making me look foolish.

In my humble opinion.. The "second to none" tag was just a expression of happiness and pride by the poster who posted pics of India's republic day..

My American friends here who are taking it to heart.. should not do so.. as someone on this forum already said.. America protects its allies supports them.. then well whats stopping you.. It is the day to commemorate India's becoming a republic.. so it is kinda of a national holiday... And all the gallantry awards and all that are awarded publicly here on this day by the president to the Award winners or their families... That is why it is a important day for the military.. and well parade.. It is a tradition that has been carried out since the first ever republic day.. It is taken by the civilian population as a strength show only as the civilian population in india is really ignorant about the military... what i mean to say by that is that a ordinary US citizen is much more well versed in these affiars than a ordinary Indian.. It is not a strength show per say.. just a small celebration... Heck many of the parading regiments there are paramilitary forces..police n the like... not the regular army..

So dear friends.. I call you friends cause I really don't see any reason why we would be enemies.. If i turned up at patriots day at your country , I am sure you would offer me a cold one..similarly..when you are here.. on my republic day , i would have the beer ready for you.. I mean.. when sumone says second to none.. its not like saying that i am better than you .. its just that we are celebrating our day.. and you as friends have no reasons to get angry on that... simply come join the celebration.. !!

I hope you take this in a positive light !!!

Its so heartening to see the American soldiers come here.. Go and interact with your fellow countrymen that have been here on joint training and all..they will tell you how nice it is for a american to be here.. I mean.. I would not like to name the other places.. but India indeed is a place where Americans have always been welcome.. always.. no kidnappings..no executions.. I am sure that if that happened the american military would take care..as I would expect my county to take care... But why think of that when we are just friends...

For the falling in the trap of friendship thing which sumone posted.. its not about sucking up to each other.. its just having similar goals.. since we have them.. similar ideals..we are friends.. right ?

Same ideals..Democracy freedom.. we have the same ideals and goals..so we all are second to none.. just teeny differences of culture on the both sides..Don't be ignorant..

Cheers Mates !

what a perversely ridiculous thread - India is an emerging power literally two decades behind China at best and a who knows how far behind Russia not to mention the USA who would simply wipe India off the map.

Technically it is behind almost every major western power including obviously France and England.

This entire thread does not deserve any response it is flag waving parochialism at its worst.

The Indians are by far some of the worst for nationalistic fervour above and beyond even the most fantastic dreams of Bagdad Ali.

Get a grip - the historical and factual record speak for themselves - India is a backwater with little little more than hyperbole and hubris to put forward.

Huh? I only hope they don't have too many like you freaking around where you come from. Your knowledge of the world and India in particular, is pathetic to say the least!

Jeez! The crappers we have to put up with here. It gets excruciating at times. Pull up your torn socks man and go get some general knowledge instead of wasting and whiling away your time reading comics.
