Soo there I was... hanging out with Jim Morrison, Marylin Monroe and JFK at one of Abe Lincolns WILD parties - and Marylin- falling down drunk (as usual) writes "SHOOT ME" on a piece of paper and tapes it to Jacks back!!! I was laughing so hard I stumbled backwards into Adolf and spilled his Snapps!!!!

Thanks for putting this thread here about this. I just put that I had read somewhere that Jim Morrison was a cowboy in Oregon on another thread here the other day. I couldn't remember where I read it though.

I did try to look it up again, and did read that Ray Manzarek allegedly got a big fat paycheck for this, so who knows whether or not it's true. I guess the royalties were not enough for him alone! Also, as I recall, supposedly Mr. Pitts, was fired by the guy who claims to be Jim Morrison.

There is some DVD from what I gather about all of this, so for a low, low price of whatever it is, I'm sure the proof is there....Yeah, sure!

I think it would be a hoot to have this look alike do a new video, singing "Riders on the Storm," while on the back of a bucking bronco!

That guy in the pictures looks nothing like Jim Morrison. I'm sure that they just found someone with the same name out west and are just trying to make a buck.

There isnt too much too say on this subject, so this will probably be it from me. I guess Ray Manzarek is pretty hard up for cash? Perhaps he should've stuck with Ian from the Cult? And you're hearing this from someone who loves the Doors!

Man, the Doors, were and still are one of my all time favorite bands. I kinda thought their reputation got a bit smeared by doing a reunion with a new lead singer, but this is too much.

Jim is gone. That guy in Oregon looks pretty good for a man who used to drink his meals. Not too mention, the last clubowner in Paris to allegedly see Jim alive, has come forward with information whereas Jim supposedly died in a bathroom stall of an overdose. And they droppped him off at his flat to avoid any manslaughter/drug charges. Granted thats all heresay, but its better than this.....

A star for you OP for finding/posting the story. But I still dont buy it.

He was bigger than life, went to France for some R & R and died of an overdose (probably) while there...There was a closed casket, that's always what begins a conspiracy. Interesting as it is, the man is dead.

I do think its very interesting that lots of recording artists die at 27. What's with that number? #9 hmmm..... the end, or new beginnings.

No doubt he was a great talent! But this is as ridiculous as Paul McCartney being dead and the imposter being around today.

I for one believe Jim Morrison truly is dead and the guy in Oregon is just using it to promote his film, and if that's the case I hope karma catches up with him cos that's pretty twisted. Jim Morrison was a great man.
