If there were some way for civilians to pull a mass 'fake-sighting' and then sit back and watch the military make up explanations for it?

Well, that's a no brainier, since the Government (or whatever) know its not them they can totally ignore it, just say they will look into it but of course they will come up with nothing since it's a fake.

Oddly, none of the witnesses I interviewed were witness to the event(s) of January 8th - all were from December '07 - none of which correlated with the others.

That came from the report of a MUFON member. I'm not necessarily sure if the Allen footage is from '07, but it would make sense as to why it looks nothing like what was described.

"ball Lightning"? Hmm- lets see- dozens of people(maybe hundreds) including some police officers winessed something a mile long and a half mile wide hovering a couple thousand feet up in BROAD DAYLIGHT ON A SUNNY DAY. Caught the Larry King program last night where they again talked about the texas case and a few others. At the very end of the program the skeptic and James(out of the blue.. out to make money) got into a debate in which James stated that one of the witnesses who actually saw the craft not just lights, is being threatened by our military to shut up. Anyone else have anything to confirm this, I find this very interesting and would like to know more. Can anyone touch on this?

According to Waco Tribune-Herald news archives, he served a short sentence over a .45-caliber pistol found in the Jeep.

Leigh wound up quoted in an Associated Press video story sent worldwide and also on NBC Weekend. The Stephenville newspaper, the Empire-Tribune, called him an "expert on UFOs."

Murphy said he regrets calling Leigh.

"I think he's done us more harm than good," Murphy said.

You are absolutely correct. I've always enjoyed information theory, makes it possible to identify code. Also makes it easy to read between the lines, even anticipate responses. I'm using this event as an experiment in information theory. So far there is a lie to be uncovered, and it's already buried in blankets of theory and secrecy. Somewhere between all this crap is the truth.

As someone ealier in the thread said.....the airforce doesnt just have "10 F-16" flying around in one air space..'accidental flying' doesn't happen to this magnatude...when I heard that I laughed my ass off thinking of the ole elephant tail convoy scenario only in this case..it was a mile long and not to forget, no sound! So freegin funny. Aircrews travel in either pairs, or threes, and if you see one alone, its because they are likely to be doing air to air practice ect..even that will be at much higher altitude (with sound) than what the civilian witnessed. Just my thoughts on this.... for the great post everyone.

If the UFO's over Texas were from some other countries military, that might explain some of our militaries actions. They would send out fighter jets to try and get close to and learn something about the crafts. It might explain some of the odd behaviour by the UFO's too.

Just a theory.

Well this is just dumb, There are better ways to bring tourist to Stephenville, TX look at town that have used better method, Casinos, Shows, Tournament, I am sure there are a lot more, they are more succesful then Rosewell, Phoenix, and one town in PA (can't remember) I been to Roswell and I spending like 12.00 to got ET Museaum so the whole day I spend 40 dollars, nothing comparing what I spend in other entertainment places. My point here to conjure a story like this for the tourism of the town its just stupid.

As always, the “photographic evidence” from the Stephenville incident sucks.

Meanwhile, the single most popular video clip on the internet could well be “Train Girl,” which shows a pedestrian being fatally struck by a locomotive. By any definition this was a “freak” accident, but I think it also demonstrates that nowadays even the rarest of rare events can inadvertently be captured on some form of video device.

So why, sixty years after Roswell, does it remain so impossible for us to get just ONE good, clear, authentic image of a UFO?

They are just giving the paid debunkers (liars) some ammo for the next Larry King special..

Dont you just love the government crap. It wasnt us we were not flying over that area. Now all of a sudden yes it was us. Yet that huge air craft in that photo is not 10 US planes. So now it is some secret air plane that they cant show or talk about.

Let me guess they lost it in the ocean? Then a sea monster ate it. Then they attacked the monster with a sub, then the body of the monster was eaten by a giant squid?

I have to admit the US government just enjoys lying then they cover up those lies with more lies. Like a kid with cookie crumbs on the table it wasnt me it was the dog?
