PROBLEM:
For some reason, Firefox started giving me an error when I tried to print out a web page, a simple crossword puzzle.
I tried the usual things, reconnecting the printer power cord and USB cable and rebooting. I still got the error.
Then I tried a test print with Windows Wordpad and it printed just fine.
Then I tired opening an IE tab within Firefox and it also printed OK.
After a quick search, I discovered the answer.
SOLUTION
Type about:config in the FireFox location bar.
Scroll down to the item print.print_printer.
Right click and select 'reset'.
Printing should now resume as usual.
I have no idea why this happened. If anyone does know, I'd be interested.
Here's the way that line looks:
print.print_printer user set string EPSON

I've also had problems with the apostrophe mark ' causing the 'search box' to popup, consequently I couldn't type an apostrophe. Ended
up with a similar fix, resetting the accessibility.typeaheadfind.flashBar. As far as I'm aware, I didn't make any changes which would
cause this.
HTH.
