Pretty sure it hasn't. Check the date on the article, just came out today.

The formation was originally noticed on this board a few weeks back and now today it has started to appear in articles across the web. This is now the fourth (I think) time today that a new thread was started on this very topic. It has already been decided that this is a rock and nothing more.

Who decided that it was just a rock? And why was this decision made.. Also, is there any evidence suggesting it's just a peculiarly deformed rock? Did they return for a closer inspection? Or is this more NASA dribble without further investigation?

It was decided by the members of this board that the figure was no more than 5 m. away from the lander, thus meaning that if it actually were a living entity of some form it would only be a few inches tall. Also, the picture used used false coloring to make contrasts in landscape more distinct, so I'm not sure how the rock looks under normal color conditions.

With all that said you didn't actually tell me what defines this as just a rock. I don't think it's an alien I think it might be a sculpture. And I wanna be proven wrong. If no one knows what this thing looks like in normal color, then we should investigate..But we all know NASA will sweep this one under the rug too.

Here are the other two pictures that NASA posted along with False color one. This first one is in Stereo.




And this next one is what I assume is True color as there was no indication otherwise on the site.




I would check for myself, but right now I don't have any image software other than what came already loaded on this computer.

A rock in the shape of a human, i agree.

I blew it up in photoshop but the original is very low quality. Do you have a link to a high rez image?

Whether the article is new or not, this subject has been discussed in great detail.
