This is a pretty stupid news story - no offence to the OP.

Anyway, McCain will be 72 in August. The oldest a President was when elected was 69, and that was Reagan.

There have only been 9 presidents who have lived over 80 years. Adams, Hoover, Reagan, and Ford lived past 90.

Why does the thread title and the Yahoo title say that Norris said McCain was too old to be president?

Chuck Norris: "I didn't pick John to support because I'm just afraid that the vice president would wind up taking over his job in that four-year presidency ... I'm not going to say he's too old."

A more realistic title would be "Norris thinks McCain is going to die in the next 5 years"



WTF? Is this how Mike Huckabee wants to get his votes? Based on the idea that McCain is going to die?

Huckabee can't be held accountable for every comment of his supporters.

I don't think that McCain is too old to be president, but that a concern among voters.

If anyone's health should be called into question it should be Thompson, but he's so far behind that it's not going to be an issue anyway.

Thats why i had to post it. I couldn't believe that this story was on yahoo's home page, as the 3rd most important story.

I don't think age should be a factor in electing a president.

Being ideologically challenged might be a consideration though,

Or being a member of a cult.
