Bush Purchases 99,000 Acre Hide-Away in Paraguay!

wonkette.com

As far as we can understand, all the paperwork and deeds and such are secret. But somehow the news leaked that a new “land trust” created for Bush had purchased nearly 100,000 acres near the town of Chaco.

And Jenna’s down there having secret meetings with the president and America’s ambassador to Paraguay, James Cason. Bush posted Cason in Havana in 2002, but last year moved him to Paraguay.

Well, looks like Bush will change his mind due to the news leak. Now he's going to look for somewhere else to buy land.

They built a firebase for 500+ US marines at nearby Mariscal Estigarribia (news.bbc.co.uk...). Don't take my word for it go look at it on Google Earth... and his property is right on top of the world's biggest fresh water aquifer iirc (en.wikipedia.org...). The nazis dug in around the same area using the ratlines after WW2 (is it irony that Bush is from 'ODESSA' Texas?), and nearby Ciudad Del Este is a verified hotbed for Iranian Hezbollah (www.nbc11.com...). Bolivia's nationalised gasfields are down the road.

Seems to me like Paraguay is still offering fascists and terrorists diplomatic immunity, something of particular appeal to the most influential fascist / terrorist family of the modern era.

Edit: I just found out the 'moonies' have bought up bigtime in the same area as Bush.

Edit2: Oh, it's all in the OP article lols.

This is big news. So...he essentially sends the Middle East into a downward hell spiral, destroys our national surplus and puts us trillions in debt, robs the nation (among others) of its natural resources, and expects to escape scot-free down to South America.

I think he's got another thing coming.

So what if he has 500+ marines, one well placed rpg can blow the whole thing up. Don't think the paramilitary down in South America isn't aware of what goes on in their own countries.

A purchase like this will have made Chavez and Morales very suspicious of any foreigners who come down south.

Bushie, you can't hide that easy.

Shar_Chi even found out where you're hiding.

I do find it very odd that he wants to settle in the same area his grandfather's business partners lived. They must still be down there...Operation Paperclip anyone?

I remember reading about this. Nice little getaway IF he actually ever gets charged for any of his crimes. At the rate things are going though, he appears untouchable.

I just did some math...

There is 640 acres per square mile, he purchased just under 100,000 acres. That is roughly 156 square miles of land that he purchased!!!

In essence if this "mammoth lot" he purchased were completly square, thats a 39 mile drive for each side. And would take a total of two hours and 36 minutes to drive around it at a speed of 60 miles per hour!!!

I would like to see CNN, MSNBC, and expecially FOX to report this

Well I'm going to put on my regulation ATS tinfoil hat and venture to say that the prospect of things to come must be pretty darn bad since the POTUS is looking for a better place to bug out than Cheyanne Mountain... especially since it's outside the U.S. and has good elevation, plenty of underground water and a built in police force. He's even bringing the kids.

This is not breaking news and was covered on ATS over a year a go in 2006 when it was breaking.

Let’s do a little research before we post to BAN.

Research, hooray!

Here is a link to an ATS thread over a year old about this. Have a good day!

ANd here is another one

AND ANOTHER!

I am sure there are a few more lurking around.

Welcome to ATS, BTW, and if you need help with the search function just ask!

Why would Bush move to a place near the TBA? I thought all of his enemies were there. Or maybe they're not his enemies after all? Or maybe they'll use this place to monitor the TBA?

Uhm actually it won't. And what's wrong with fleeing and living in fun while common folk suffer and get burdened with taxes? It's the American way! Seriously, it's called freedom.

I've noticed some geographical discrepancies worth pointing out in the various reports.

There are in fact TWO Tri-Border Areas (TBA) worthy of note. The first is in the north west near the Mariscal Estigarribia firebase (Paraguay, Bolivia, Argentina). This is the direct route to Bolivia and the gas fields. The 2nd TBA is south east, at Iguacu Falls (Paraguay, Argentina, Brazil). This second TBA is near Ciudad Del Este, the hotbed of drug trafficking and terrorist organisations such as Hezbollah.

Now, common reports say the bush property is in the Chaco region, close to the firebase at Mariscal Estigarribia. However, the most specific location I've seen for the bush hideout is Paso de Patria (www.counterpunch.org...), which is actually in the Neembucu state, and nowhere near Chaco region. In fact the same article contradicts itself geographically.

Paso de Patria is in the South Western tip of the country, downstream from the breathtaking Iguacu Falls, and upstream from the River Plate estuary made famous by the battle in WW2 (and infamous as the major stopping off point for the fabled Nazi Antarctic expeditions).

The location is south of Asuncion and quite distant from the Mariscal Estigarribia firebase to the north. Paso de Patria is relatively close to the Argentine stretch of the Pan American Highway, the major route traversing the continent north-south.

Anyone following this story with interest really should take half an hour on Google Earth to understand the geography. On the map below, the firebase is close to the place called Doctor Pedro P Pena, and according to the article which specifically mentions Paso de Patria, the bush property is near the town called Pilar. You can note Ciudad Del Este for yourself. All this attention is focussed on what you may have thought was an obscure South American country!

Edit: Wow, another location mentions Fuerte Olimpo, which is bloody opposite again. www.thetruthseeker.co.uk... I followed the link in this report to FundaPatria.com which bush is supposedly a member of and which owns a section of paraguay land which bush bought out, but it's based in the dominican republic (nextdoor to HAITI!)... very conflicting locations, and every report has the geography WRONG!

Who hates bush more than Americans? Pretty much everyone else

You can run bush, but you can't hide.

Whats super interesting about all of this is the fact that Paraguay is specifically mentioned in many 2012 predictions as a "safe zone" that will be relatively unaffected by the global disasters.
