Scientology is for the gullible and weak minded. Written by a science fiction author who has used the same principle of research as he has in writing any of his novels, namely utilising psychiatric, medical and philosophical doctrine, using a combination of other religious beliefs, and ensuring they sound somewhat intelligent by using latin and greek as a reference for their terminology.

It is fiction that is sparsely intermingled with scientific fact and sold as a pyramid scheme ( or should I say scam). Money is their God and selling is their game.

What a joke! In fact as another human being I am totally embarrassed and disgusted that this enterprise has reached the heights it has. To any normal free and logical thinking person this is yet another business venture controlled by the wealthy meglamaniacs who think they are elite yet by action prove to be a little mentally challenged. This pathetic cult doesn't need to be debunked they do a good enough job themselves.
Actions speak louder than words so look carefully they give little yet take more than their fair share. A pyramid selling scam and a great superannuation scheme for the Hubbards.

If L.Ron Hubbard is their prophet then Stupid is their God.

Actually L. Ron Hubberd published a huge book called dianetics and claimed it was for self help.

In Scientology no one is asked to accept anything as belief or on faith.

For someone who claims they don't know much about scientology, you seem to have pretty strong feelings about what it is and isn't.

This is what scientologists believe. This is a brief overview for the full story, please go here
www.holysmoke.org...
or here
en.wikipedia.org...

Scientologists believe that 75 million years ago an evil galactic ruler, named Xenu, solved overpopulation by bringing trillions of people to Earth in DC-8 space planes, stacking them around volcanoes and nuking them. Then the souls of these dead space aliens were captured and boxed up and taken to cinemas where they were shown films of what life should be like, false ideas containing God, the devil and Christ and told to get ill.

I'm not kidding. If you don't believe me, look it up yourself.

That which is true for you is what you have observed to be true. An individual discovers for himself that Scientology works by personally applying its principles and observing or experiencing results.

So I assume you're a scientologist?

Through Scientology, people all over the world are achieving the long-sought goal of true spiritual release and freedom. "

And how exactly do they do this? You are now claiming inside knowledge of how scientology works so please be specific.

Doesn't seem to be trying to hurt anybody or force unfactual stories on people like other religions.

Yes it does. Here are some examples:
www.youtube.com...

Here's another video about the very unfunny truth about scientology. WARNING this video has some very disturbing parts.
www.youtube.com...

This next video is really interesting. Why all the security if they're just trying to help? And why the need for intimidation? How does that help people?
www.youtube.com...

Now here's Tom Cruise on Scientology
Here are a few things I noticed about him.
Noticed his quick eye blinks as he's searching for answers? You'll see those same eye blinks in another guy in the very first video above when he's searching for questions to confront the reporter.
www.youtube.com...

I'm not rrying to be argumentative here. Just being curious. What about it will you debunk?

I'm not sure what the mod is thinking but if it were me, I would probably look at debunking the fact that scientology is here to help people better themselves.

Sorry to go kindoff- off topic but

Currently 4chan.org, 7chan.org, all Chan-sites, and a horde of other internetfora are attacking scientology.org (so if it is down you know why)

for more info (or if you want to help/join the raid)
partyvan.info...

People are sending huge black faxes, making prankcalls, DOS attacks/ spamming their emails, etc...

Hilarious if you ask me

Hail Xenu !

Here is the message to Scientology by anonymous:

A Message to Scientology

Copypasta for faxes, letters, and the media.

Hello, leaders of Scientology. We are Anonymous.

Over the years, we have been watching you. Your campaigns of misinformation, your suppression of dissent, your litigious nature, all of these things have caught our eye. With the leakage of your latest propaganda video into mainstream circulation, the extent of your malign influence over those who have come to trust you as leaders has been made clear to us. Anonymous has therefore decided that your organization should be destroyed. For the good of your followers, for the good of mankind and for our own enjoyment, we shall proceed to expel you from the Internet and systematically dismantle the Church of Scientology in its present form. We recognize you as serious opponents, and do not expect our campaign to be completed in a short timeframe. However, you will not prevail forever against the angry masses of the body politic. Your choice of methods, your hypocrisy and the general artlessness of your organization have sounded its death knell. You have nowhere to hide, because we are everywhere. You will find no recourse in attack, because for each of us that falls, ten more will take his place.

We are cognizant of the many who may decry our methods as parallel to those of the Church of Scientology. Those who espouse the obvious truth that your organization will use the actions of Anonymous as an example of the persecution of which you have for so long warned your followers. This is acceptable to Anonymous. In fact, it is encouraged. We are your SPs.

Over time, as we begin to merge our pulse with that of your Church, the suppression of your followers will become increasingly difficult to maintain. Believers will become aware that salvation needn't come at the expense of their livelihood. They will become aware that the stress and the frustration that they feel is not due to us, but a source much closer to them. Yes, we are SPs. But the sum of suppression we could ever muster is eclipsed by that of your own RTC.

Knowledge is free.

We are Anonymous.

We are Legion.

We do not forgive.

We do not forget.

Expect us.

If there are any Scientologists here, I have a couple of questions.
Why do you have a 'private Navy' who wear para-military uniforms?
Does the Sea Organization have some sort of military agenda in place?
Also could you elaborate on 'the wall of fire' or 'the zones of action'?

Scientology will sue over the internets use of the Tom Cruise video.

Intimidation and litigation,

Here is something I stumbled upon.
www.shipbrook.com...

The purpose of the suit is to harass and discourage rather than to win.

The law can be used very easily to harass, and enough harassment on somebody who is simply on the thin edge anyway, well knowing that he is not authorized, will generally be sufficient to cause his professional decease. If possible, of course, ruin him utterly.

I first learned about the "Church" of Scientology in 1995, when, in an effort to silence its critics, it committed a number of assaults against free speech. A lawyer working for Scientology attempted to delete a Usenet newsgroup where the secrets of Scientology were being discussed. Four critics of the "church" had their houses raided and their computers and other property confiscated for the crime of quoting Scientology texts on the Internet. Numerous other critics have been sued or threatened with lawsuits, some for posting a mere six lines of "secret" Scientology scriptures.

Wonder if they will try and silence ATS?

"secret" Scientology scriptures?

I would dearly love to hear this "secret" Scientology scriptures!

I actually feel bad for some of the people as they are lost or disenfranchised and looking to fit in somewhere and just want to belong. Someone like yourself with the self confidence to know who they are, aren't their targets as they cannot manipulate people like yourself.

First, let me be clear. Again. I am not a scientologist. I don't prefer any religion thank you much. And I really don't have strong feelings one way or the other. I simply got the information I posted from THEIR website. And it did not seem soooo bad. ok, buddy? so just kick back and relax.

Actually L. Ron Hubberd published a huge book called dianetics and claimed it was for self help.

so is he claiming this book is what scientology is based off of? It did not mention it on the website.

For someone who claims they don't know much about scientology, you seem to have pretty strong feelings about what it is and isn't.

negative.

Scientologists believe that 75 million years ago an evil galactic ruler, named Xenu, solved overpopulation by bringing trillions of people to Earth in DC-8 space planes, stacking them around volcanoes and nuking them. Then the souls of these dead space aliens were captured and boxed up and taken to cinemas where they were shown films of what life should be like, false ideas containing God, the devil and Christ and told to get ill.

if this is exactly what they believe. Then ok. now we are getting to a reason as to WHY someone wants to debunk scientology and what it is exactly that can be debunked. very good. pat yourself on the back for that one.

I'm not kidding. If you don't believe me, look it up yourself.

nah, really not worried about it that much.

So I assume you're a scientologist?

nope. wrong asumption. maybe you can't read intent very well? I never even implied I was a scientologist. either way assuming is bad for the soul bro.

And how exactly do they do this? You are now claiming inside knowledge of how scientology works so please be specific.

again. from THEIR website.
thats some inside info for ya!

awesome. now that I know you are a Tom Cruise expert I will call on you for knowledge and translation when he comes storming in with all his scientology buddies to convert everybody.

oh. just wondering. do you get all your information from youtube?

Ever since I left Christianity, all religion seems irrational to me. In my eyes, Scientology is no different than the Christian, Muslim, or Hebrew religion. You talk about "brainwashing" or "exploiting their followers." How is that different than Christianity?

Yes, Scientology is based on fiction and has no scientific or historical fact to back it up, but can't the same be said for the others?

Religion is religion is religion.

Anyone listen to Bubba the Love Sponge-sirius satellite radio? He & his crew had were playing the secret Tom Cruise clip & the next day they had Jamie Kennedy (great grandson to L Ron) and he was debunking scientology and giving some inside to the 'religion'... About 45 minutes after he left one of the hosts pulls out an email with all of the personalities info (real names-they use nicknames) and their family names & 'info' (whether or not addresses or whatever they did not say)... Pretty scary how tight they keep their cult

What confused me is you apparently quoted what was found on the scientology website but you didn't indicate it was quoted work so I initially assumed you were able to convey what was meant because you understood it so well. If you did indeed quote the website, ATS rules ask that you show external source(s). You could get spanked for that so I am just giving you a heads up.

When at any point did I claim I was a Tom Cruise expert?? Maybe you can't read intent very well
