now you still think higher intelligence life forms don't exist? come on now people get your head out of the sand and think logically for a second.

sure intelligent beings probably exist somehwere in the universe but that doesnt mean they are visiting us.

B.S. we have ALL seen planes flying around, they move conventionally and its no big deal. This was something else..your just gonna have to swallow it this time.

Typical egregious reporting of these kinds of events. No one asked the witness how she knew the object was 400 feet away. Very likely , she didn't know this at all. This was probably a plane many miles way moving away from her near the horizon. this can create the illusion of hovering.

Of course, they show a still image, not a video, and they don't tell how long the plane "hovered." It it was a couple of minutes - unremarkable. It it was half an hour - that's possibly anomalous. Also, how did she lose sight of it? These are all obvious questions, and they either weren't asked or weren't reported.

In this report he mentions about the binoculars he had. Does it mean that there is a tape available?

Do you mean video tape of the object, taken by this witness?? Why should the fact that someone made observations of the "object" through binoculars imply or suggest that this same person also had a video camera available and actually used it (while at the same time observing it through binoculars, no less)? I assume you know what binoculars are, so how do you make this connection to "tape"? Forgive my obtuseness but I'm curious.

So it's your contention that this kind of misinterpretation doesn't happen?

Would that it were so!

Yes, I hear you about the proof thing, I get that, but just because I don't have proof does that mean I'm simply making up what I saw? I don't think so.

Same goes for my brother, he saw a casino employee (brother was a security guard) open a slot machine and change the percent payout chip to a lesser percentage, he has no proof of that either, so does that mean it didn't happen? I'm sorry but I believe what my brother told me. sorry about going off topic here. just wanted to look at it from a different angle.

We could go round and round about the proof thing, But as I always say, what kind of proof would be good enough for you? Pictures on the net won't do it, this much I know, neither will you tube videos, but they do make for good debates.

I believe the people in Texas saw what they claim they saw, they have little to nothing to gain from this whole story.

sure..but not by ALL the witness's here. If it was so easy people would be running in the streets panicked because an airliner flew over. Its ridiculous..we're in the 21st century..Im sure 99% of people have seen an a strange flying metal thing with engines and wings going from point A to B across the sky without any problems identifying it.

By your logic over 10 people freaked out about an airliner..??!! Nope. No. No.

pictures will do it for me. if you can post a video i would like that too. i like seeing proof cause it confirms to me what i already know. i just want to see other scenario's people have.

I believe the casino thing also. casino's gotta make more money from some kind of way. that is the reason why i play texas holdem and not slot machines. i sometimes dont even play blackjack lol.

Fair comment... However, following the same assumption of their possible existence (which you allow), it's equally justifiable to state that they could be visiting us. We need to accept the fact that even with our relatively limited standards of technology we have already sent various space vehicles off to places within our solar system and even beyond; I don't see why it is such an enormous stretch to accept that other intelligences might not be doing the same but at a more advanced technological level.

Granted, one can argue that out of all the possible planets in this galaxy, why would they home in on this one, but if we can accept that other intelligent life forms exist they could well be far beyond us technologically and may have sensing equipment that enables them to narrow down their search options to a great degree.

Some UFO sightings are inexplicable by conventional means as being of any known, human origin; this does not automatically mean they they are of alien origin -- though some jump to that conclusion -- but if that possibility is taken into account, it's fair to accept the notion that just maybe we are being visited by extra-terrestrials.

As for what has been going on in Texas lately I think we still have far too little data to draw any conclusions on that score. A lot of people saw something and apparently it wasn't chinese lanterns, balloons, flares, or reflections of airplanes. Or swamp gas...

Makes me wonder just how many people need to see something before the TV news anchors will wipe their stupid smirks off their faces and stop giggling about it...

Oh, okay. Thanks for letting us know... Hey, if English isn't your first language then I can understand the problem. (I teach English as a Foreign Language.) No problem... Any misunderstandings can be sorted out.

It's great to have you contributing!

Personally, I'm going to wait and listen to all the reports before I judge the quality of the witnesses or their observations.

Just a friendly reminder to stay on the topic of the Texas UFO. ( I know getting sidetracked is easy ).

Fair enough,
I wish to God I had thought about a camera, I don't own a video camera so a still would have been the best I could have done.
My digital camera is here in the office room in our house, had I been in here when I saw the ufo, I may have thought about the camera, and still would have had a great shot of the ufo as the back of our house faces near north and I can comfortably estimate the horse track to be a mile or less from here as the crow flies.

Back on topic, I don't think we will see a difinitave picture from the Texas sighting, If we haven't seen a good picture or video by now, I doubt we will. I hope I'm wrong though.

That is what I am thinking too. If you had a photo of this event, wouldn't you want to share it?

But you know whats even stranger....

Nobody has put out a set of fakes for fame!
(Don't even think about, we will bust you).

This claims to be the only footage of the ufo siting in texas. Fake? sorry if posted before, dont have the time to read the whole thread.

www.youtube.com...

Lemme stop this before it goes too far. You can find that exact video posted 6 months ago. It's not from Stephenville, it's from Austin. And at the end of the original one, he zooms in at the end. It's a blimp. Which even from a distance, it's not hard to tell that.

This is not footage of the Jan 8th Stephenville UFO. And it is not footage of a UFO, it's clearly a blimp.

maybe they are too busy with other things but maybe maybe im the only one that thinks about aliens on almost a daily basis.

find some aliens and ask them what they believe in... would be interesting if they say god... that is if they can speak our language.

One of the things I have noticed personally is that, even though I have a capable camera in my phone, when a startling event takes place, it is sometimes several moments before I think about my phone and taking a photo. While I grant that there are people who would be more inclined to take a photo quicker than I would, perhaps many of the people in Texas who were witnesses are more like me, and were just too excited/nervous/confused to think about trying to get a photo.

I just had a thought... Seems like nobody had a camera with them at the time.... But maybe there is a store or gas station or home security system out there that caught something?

Who knows?
