U.S. Military May Run Out Of Money
United Press International
February 11, 2004

WASHINGTON - The military will have no money to pay for the ongoing wars in Iraq and Afghanistan for three months beginning Oct. 1 because the White House is declining to ask Congress for funding until December or January, well after the presidential election.

www.military.com...

Is this how we run our government? Is this how things are supposed to be? Did ANYTHING like this happen under Clinton? Look, people, listen and learn: Never trust a repugnant with your money.

Never trust a politician with your money. Oh wait, we don't have much of a choice in that, do we?

I really don't care anymore. If Bush is reelected or if a dem gets in, we're probably still screwed.

It was bad on his part for not getting funding before.

It was Clinton's mistake as well for being an ass and cutting military and intellegence funding.

It's the U.S.'s fault for having military folks spread all over God's Green Earth.

It means being prepared for anything and everything even if it means being too prepared. That has been the attitude of most everyone since Pearl Harbor. Be prepared no matter what. Don't want to be caught with our pants down again.

Ummm...Pearl Harbor could have and should have been avoided...

I guess they'll have to take some money from the "black ops" budget and fund the military...

Maybe they'll borrow it from the fund that is used to "hide" the Aliens and all of the secret operations that are being conducted underground.

Or education and welfare programs.

Joey: exactly? It could have and should have been prevented because we had the men ready and the information that this was coming...

Take it from welfare, some special interests, and cut 50% of administrative jobs in education. That should be enough, they don't pay us jack anyway.(ARMY) Though the equipment is very expensive, mostly due to price gouging on contracted items.

That's right, hellspawn. Take it from the needy, right. Take it from programs that advocate the betterment of man---like EDUCATION AND THE ARTS. But, don't touch the killing machine called Defense which consumes over 50% of our GDP.

But, your beloved Satan would have it no other way, right?

Defense spending would be fine by me if it were spent on defense.

I'm pretty tired of having troops all over the planet. Forward deployment one ships and subs is one thing, but bases is another.

Bring those boys home. Do not take money away from education. That is rediculous. Fixing education is not just throwing money at it or taking it away. There is something fundamentally wrong about having capitalistic education in public schools. Screw the poor kids right?

I never said to take it from education. I said to take it from administration. I bet we could do without half of the administrative positions in the education department. I'd be all for that. I bet not even 25 cents out of every dollar spent on education makes it to the classroom. All the high-paying jobs are people who just sign paperwork every once and a while. But nobody cares about that. As soon as someone tries to correct it, they get their heads chewed off by the libs for underfunding education.

As for welfare, we could sacrifice a little of that. It's misused and many become dependant on it. I think it is fine if people use it as a stepping stone, but not to live off. I'm not financing some guys crack addiction because he is to burned out to work.

Pearl harbor could have and should have been avoided. After that the government has wanted to be prepared for anything by spending big bucks on defense. Look what happened right after someone(Clinton) cut the hell out of defense spending, we were once again attacked on our own soil. I'm not blaming Clinton, but it is an odd coincidence.
