Just my opinion.

Well, someone said relating this to Revelations, and I thought that, as many people agree, U.S. = Babylon, as in the Bible, it says Babylon is destroyed in a 'great war'. After Babylon is destroyed, Jesus and his Angels arrive and then the End of the World occurs (good saved, bad gone, etc, you know the deal)

Who knows..if this is to happen so soon...wow..just a week away?

EDIT: About the southern militias..hate to say it, but the KKK might be a saving grace: They have numbers. There is about 250,000 members still in the U.S. today. Thats a good army, especially when they know how to use "terrorist" tactics to win. Neo-Nazis? Maybe...the hicks will defeat the war...Revolutionary tactics...who knows..

Russia is not even capable of keeping the Chechen rebels in check, never the less the US Military, armed population, and yahoos like me and my friends. US would mop up, if Russia invaded. It would go nuclear very very quickly.

that could suck though... members of the KKK could then get appointed MORE gov't positions in the long run because they would be heroes.

Why do you still feel the need to fear Russian attack? I thought you were supposed to be afraid of "terror" now...

What motive would the Russians have to attack America, given that there is no longer any ideological difference between the two nations' governments?

Why would a country with an almost crippled economy want to start a world war?

i'm not afraid of anyone attacking or terrorists... if it happens there's nothing i can do to stop it, so i've accepted that.

and i seriously doubt russia or china would attack us. they don't have the muscle or the money for it... of course, if a non-nuclear war were to start, i suppose that it COULD boost their economy... but i still do not believe that it would happen.

heres my three word statement on this subject......

the real world.

China - over 25% of the worlds population. The goverment can not support the needs of its population. They can not move into a domestic market place ie free market because of the huge burden it would put on the rest of the world causing global collapse of all industries. China has limited domestic product manufacturing. Most of the money coming into China is for service related business ie contract manufacturing from international companies that use China for cheap labor and limited manufacturing EPA intrusions. Sure China has the largest "ground" military force. But without a major supply system it is unable to feed and maintain troops outside of the mainland for an extended period of time. China's abundance in population is a burden that they neither have the economic ability nor the resources to support. The only system that will currently work in those conditions is a socialist/ communist model of proportioning output to those areas and people that are a necessary to keep critical economic systems running.

The only feasible military agression that China can support is a land invansion of its neighboors.

We have all shown that neither super power has any advantage to a nuclear exchange. MAD etc

China needs the US and other foreign countries to invest in its economy by suppling manufacturing jobs etc.
So attacking the hand that feeds you is alittle absurd.

You can gage where China is at with regards to its military stance by looking at the Taiwan situation. The US is supporting CHINA and not Taiwan. ie ex-Chineese Nationalist Party Members.

The US would not defend Taiwan in case China attempts to "invade" Taiwan. And the US is pressuring Taiwan not to change the status Quo.

China and the US are more involved them most people are aware. You can research the many political and economic resolutions on the matter and form your own conclusions though.

As for Russia again you have the MAD nuclear deterrent. But unlike China, Russia has a smaller population base and will likely succeed in converting to a free market economy. Remember changing an entire Nationalized Economic System can not be done over night. It must be changed in slow steps that allow the population to get adjusted to the "new rules". Switching from free hand outs to work and earn for your self is tough. And to be successful it must be done at a snails pace. The hardliners are all dying off and the new generation is more westernized. Do you think they will continue the ways of the hardliners or seek to become more like America ? Why do you think they are working so close together to "fight" the terrorists ? Its a big political power play, the US holds Russia responsible for the proliferation of weapons in the middle east and else where and now it is feeling the "pain" of those weapons being used against its own interests. So the US has been making accords with Russia that they "help" with the fight on terrorism and we will help them build their market economy. A mutal understanding were both parties benefit to meet their own personal agenda's. Bush to be able to use military force in the middle east unabaided and Russia to recieve serious "dollars" to fund its economy and help shift it to a free market society.

So yea, neither China nor Russia have any interest in attacking the US.

Personally..I am one of those "hicks" me and my buddies would enjoy the target practice...I'm not racist mind you, but I am an expert marksman-like many others I know. Many of us can dissappear into the woods with little in the way of supplies and stay there for extended periods.
My only questions are , Will the hunting license and chi-com tags be available at wal mart??? and can we hunt over baited fields or run dogs?

haha, i wish i had something more powerful than two .22's and a .410... the .22s are magnum target rifles with 20X zoom and 50 and 120 occulars... so i could pick some off too. moving target practices is a blast. and i'd have my .410 for getting squirrels and whatnot for food.

Ever seen 'Red Dawn', sounds familiar except China was on our side (that being the USA and UK).
Continental Europe stood back(nothing different there then) in that though.

Having a poor country doesnt mean you still cant have a try and invade. Either way you'll win in the long term eg. Japan. Many of the powers that won in WW2 are now in a state of decline in the long term.
