I know there are a few ATS members who do not like this style of topic but I really think this will be quite interesting. We are all use to the UK v USA, USA v China and so on but the other day I was thinking…

Currently we are in the longest period in which Britain and France have not been at war in history. What would it be like if Britain was to go head to head with a modern France? Why I think it would be so interesting is that in terms of numbers and military spending we are so similar.

Eliminating nuclear weapons and allied support who do you think would come out on top if a war broke out tomorrow and why?

Anyone at all have some input as to who is the superior power?

And why would this even matter? A France vs UK war is very unlikely, in our current world the next wars will be civilization wars. Aka, west vs east.

ASFAIC there will be no more wars in Europe between EU states. There is a reason why Europe is united now.

Nah, I think there's been enough wars between France and UK already.

Look at Waterloo....

I'm glad to see Europe united, though.

But ya, I agree with Pericle, I think it's probably west vs east. Right now at this moment, it's West (or and East) vs Middle East.
