This thread does boil down to religion and the extremists like yacov. To try and rebutt what yacov or any literal believer of the bible says is sometimes impossible. Look at what he says.

We are all commiters of "original sin" (a scare tactic by the mideival church) and the only salvation is through Jesus Christ.

I'm sorry but this is pure trash. First, my son who is 3 months old has never done a thing to anyone. He has commited no "sin." And anyone who takes literally that a baby, who has never done anything, will go to hell if not baptized or accepts that Jesus is the savior of the world is an extremist. There is no point in arguing with these people. Let them be stuck in the world they live.

The babys that die in Africa and some of these other 3rd world countries (that have never even heard of Jesus Christ btw) every day are not in a BURNING LAKE OF ETERNAL FLAME..lol.. ...kind of funny actually. I didn't read through the whole thread, but I pray that someone pointed out the the OP that in the United States, you do not have unbridled freedom of speech. You have freedom of speech until you infringe upon someone else's rights. Committing libel against an entire race of people obviously infringes upon their rights.

When will people learn freedom of speech does NOT mean you can't say absolutely anything you want.

The thread lost its way from the start, beginning with the OP. lavair1 came back to retract his original statement and to make a better one, but it got lost in all of the resulting noise and responses to the OP. That's what happens when people start quarreling over opinions, rather than arguing over points. The thread is basically topic-less at this point. Oh...

I don't even know if there are a disproportionate number of “Jews” in media but I am sure it isn't most or all Jews. What is wrong with the media except maybe cops, court TV, reality TV shows, those silly dancing with the stars, American Idol shows, and such?
I am sure it is possible that a disproportionate number of Jews might be in areas where it takes education and intelligence but what we have is the people's taste and what sells. The programs are only there to get us to watch there commercials, so let's get real.

Someone that gets it....you are spot on, as I've studied this for years and just can't get this across. What is interesting is that even in the Bible, Jesus warned us about the "Synagogue of Satan", jews that claim to be jews but are not.............

I can second this. Some Rich and greedy people are Jews. Some Jews run media companies. Ergo, Some Jews who are rich and greedy run media companies. So what...Is Rupert Murdoch a Jew, Rudy Giuliani, George Bush 41 or 43, Merv Griffin, etc, etc...They are all plenty corrupt and greedy. Pat Robertson...rich and greedy and corrupt, Jerry Falwell, the same...ooops they are so-called Christians. There is plenty of greed and bad behavior to go around...

But you( the OP ) focus on the wrong thing. Instead of beating others down for being successful, turn off the TV and make your kids study, take AP classes, work afterschool jobs and invest their money, and maybe they too will be as successful as the Jews/Asians/Whites/Indians...Wouldn't it be great if all Americans stopped whining about how the rest of the world is beating them economically and start studying and working to improve themselves; we seem to be more interested in reading People magazine than the Wall Street Journal; we listen to demagogues like TV and radio right-wingers than read and study science and business, then we complain because we are poor...
