Political Polygraph

Hey,

Just had an idea not sure how crazy it might seem.
Wouldnt it make sense to ask our elected officials to undergo a series of polygraph tests to make sure they are looking out for our best interests?
Including the President but not limited to there are many folks with a great deal of important decision making for all of us.
I think standard polygraphs for all politicians are the way to go.
Then, after elected you can make sure they adhere to what they claimed they would do. If not you fire them and strip them of their wealth, and ties to other political figures.
