You don't "admit" an acceleration measurement. In fact, those two buildings did not accelerate at all, they kept trucking along at the same
rate for as long as we could see them.
If you watch videos of the collapse, free-falling material begins accelerating and overpasses the "collapse wave," which is at first faster
than the falling material, because the demolition sequence didn't have to accelerate, it just started from a linear rate based on when the blasts
were programmed to go off.
