No, you are not evil by any definition of the word and the experience you had.

So, no you are not evil at all.

Oh yeah, I get that same feeling everytime something tragic happens, as long as it doesn't happen to anyone im related to, if a friend died, I would probably get this good feeling, I cant stop it, but it feels good.

I wonder if its some sort of emotion, to try and overcome such tragedy?

hmmm

This makes me think you're a.... Teenager .
When you're a teenager you're still growing, mentally, physically, spiritually.
Things will always be awkward. What you're describing ..... no offense, but, it could be a phase. Once your body and mind decide that they are full grown, you should grow out of it.
(and yes I know you said well-adjusted teen...but thats almost like an oxymoron!)

This reminds me of self mutilators in a sense.

That sounds a bit harsh to me. I dont think you can really compare this to self mutilation. Self mutilation usually occurs when the individual perceives that there is no other way to release their frustration or pain so they hurt themselves because they see the pain as a form of release.By the way I am not to fond of being around emo people. They whinge to much.

lol. God, I hate that stereotype. Do you even know what an "emo" is? hahahaha. Not even close to the same thing. I used to have the same problem and I hate how people with that issue are perceived. Anybody who knows me now knows that I'm the cheeriest person ever! Plus, even doing drugs or drinking can be considered a form of self mutilation. Self mutilation is usually used to make somebody feel good/better, not even a form of "release" necessarily. Sorry, that just bothers me. I was never so lost than when I was going through that, so I know how those people feel. It sucks. Back on topic though, it reminds me of self mutilation because, for me at least, it made me feel GOOD. And seeing somebody else in pain makes YOU feel good. That's basically why I compared them. Pain making somebody feel good whether it's within themselves or happening to somebody else.

Funny thing though, as I'm reading, a remix version of, for whom the bell tolls, rings loudly through my speakers.

Damn I wish ATS had a rep system. You would be getting reps all day. That is my favorite album of all time.
