I just saw this on Yahoo's home page- about a consumer jet-pack thats gonna be released. So start saving up that 200 g's.

So far the best model of jet pack i have seen is this one by Jet pack international. www.jetpackinternational.com...




I've got to get myself one of those
it'll set you back over $200,000 though!

The real problem here is endurance, things have not really improved dramatically in 40 years with this design.

The original design as used in the Bond movie had 24 seconds the one being used in this video has 33 seconds and they are talking about one with 45 seconds.

Do you ever get the feeling this is not the personal transport of the future ?

No I think I will wait for the first anti-grav design thanks.

If I recall correctly the things were exceptionally dangerous and unpredictable as well. Mainly stunt men used to fly them because they were known to just cut-out and let you drop if you did not know exactly what you were doing with them.
