But, don't you know that symbolism has very deep meaning sometimes for certain people?
Such as the zodiac killer, etc....
There is a thread that goes back all the way to Babylon, inscribed with these symbols.

What? Is this some sort of red herring? All of these threads ASSUME that symbolism all means the same thing to all people, how else could they possibly know what the creators of this art and symbols really means?

But the reality is that symbols do only mean different things to different people. You do realize you've proven my point.

I didn't mean 'thread' such as there is here on ATS, but the same, recurring symbols throughout history.
Whenever there were archaeological digs, such as Napoleon endevoured in, people would again take up those gods and goddesses.
Of course some of the digs came about to find legendary myths in the first place.

But the reality is that symbols do only mean different things to different people. You do realize you've proven my point.

No, I believe the superstitious try to stay 'true' to the symbolism.
They may change the names to their own, familiar deities.

I have no more to say about this specific matter. You believe that everyone who uses a symbol must be aware of its original use, and secretly be using it for that purpose. There is no reason to think that people know this or that people can even know the original meanings of symbols. There is also no reason to think people would care. The nature of symbols is such that you will never actually know what their original appearance means except in rare circumstances, most of what you are doing is guessing. And of course - as we can see in this thread - what you do is guess the meaning that fits your proscribed agenda.

If you believe in this sort of thing - and I know of no scholar in symbolism or religion who does - then there is nothing more to discuss.

I thought this thread was interesting.

The Serpent Lord, Freemasons, and their god, the dollar.

I have often thrown this idea back and forth in my head. I had a religious / out of this world experience when I was younger. I used to be visited by some sort of being. He could read my thoughts and communicate to me through my mind. In my dreams he would come to me as a human. He relied on fear energy produced when I would go to sleep in the dark to materialize. I would see shadows moving accross my room and glowing eyes in dark places. He also had the skill of persuasion. One particular night he came to me in a dream which was again lucid. I was in control of my conversations and was totally conscious of what I was doing with in the dream as I had done so many times before with him. He showed me a hole from far and told me to follow him and come closer to the hole. I felt this was evil and did not want to do so but I trusted the being for a short while. I floated over the hole where he showed me the bottomless pit. In the pit I saw many souls resting upon many souls which were also lying upon many souls almost clawing to get out. As soon as I saw this I awoke and yelled, No! Your Evil! As I opened my eyes I saw the being in real life in his actual form. He stood just on the other side of my window, which my bed was against, he was staring at me and I screamed. He had giant black eyes and skin like a lizard or snake. Long fingers with long black fingernails which could cut you like razor blades. The eyes were the most peculiar as they were the size of baseballs and jet black. I could see nothing in the black eyes. They were also slightly to the sides of the beings head almost like a fish.

Could this be the great serpent who deceived Adam and Eve in the Garden?

I would have to say, yes.
He has minions, too.

The fasces or bundled ax was taken by the Romans from the Egyptians and was a front piece to their empirical administration building throughout the empire. the ax sympolized "Atum" (the creator) the multiplier in that an ax could multiply by cutting or chopping wood into many pieces. Unfortunately, this simple meaning has been corrupted by people of ill will and exploitive propensities. The snake, another Egyptian symbol meant "wisdom." The reason a snake sheds its skin is that it never stops growing! See if you can figure this one out. "Why is a crocodile 'wise'?" Such emblems originally were sign language before writing and were innocent but important communication devices. Zionist organizations and associations such as the Masons, Illuminati, etc. have corrupted the innocent intent of symbols.
