We would not be having this discussion if I were in the same room as my dog.

I was referring to the fact that my dog senses my emotions when we are rooms apart.

I have always believed in Vampires. And I don't mean people who think they are Vampires.
I was born in Russia in a little town in Romania and since I was a little girl I hear real Vampire stories.
I can see why Vampires would be careful not to show any evidence of their existance. People seem to harm everything they don't understand or are scared of. If they were found out then they would be at risk of slaughter.
How can anyone not believe, I mean if you believe in G-D (whom no one has ever seen) then you must believe in beings like Vampires.
This world holds lots of mystery and things that we will never get a chance to see.

Ragin Cajun:

So you intake energy, and then blood on occasion? If you don't need blood, why do you consume it? If you do.

I have not really consumed blood. At least not human blood. It's more of a thing for a high. Probably just some type of blood fetish. Though I don't seem to be enticed by it anymore. In fact I find blood gross.

Hello all..I am very interested in this topic and I have a question..Ive been wathing True Blood an HBO and Im wondering whats the correlation between Vampires and Dogs? is there one? Between this new series on the movie Thirty Days of Night It seems to me that Vampires dont like dogs, What do you all think?

I won't spoil it for you, but the reason why that dog shows up on True Blood so much is VERY specific, and it has nothing to do with an innate connection between vampires and dogs. Remember True Blood is based off a book series that is now in its 9th or 10 volume. I've read all of them so I know why the dog keeps showing up - has nothing to do with vampires. They dropped a hint in the last episode that you may have caught.

Of course all of this is fiction anyways, but still, just thought I'd point it out

Hey Night Dweller, are you still checking in? Why not enlighten us more?

I really enjoyed your posts.

Hope you're not in trouble with your contemporaries. If I were a night dweller, I'm sure I'd be a ball buster and I don't mean to normals.

luvforwill;
Entertain me with this Sun/Orion theory.
I do not think what I am thinking is what you're meaning.

Addie40;
I was born. I believe I've previously stated that.

Mirrorshade;
You were 16, And she looked younger then you?
The only way you could link her to being a Vampire is if she was born akin, like myself.
We do not turn children so young. They must be 'of age'.
Interesting although, to say the least.
You want to see her again? I could give you a recipe for maybe luring said lady back to you're original meeting place.
Although, she may have moved already. If you're interested, do reply.
By the way, I am no author testing no gimmick.
I find that quite insulting on the contrary.

Orion52;
It would not surprise me at all if you actually were of wolf kin.
Are you one of meditation?

rockoperawriter;
I like the entities of those who have passed.
It is not vague, for I ask specific and direct questions.
I do, actually play instruments. Yes, of the rock genre.
And this duel sounds extremely enticing.
Except I, nor for that matter any kin would want to have there identity for all to see.
Now, if you yandered to my house with your equipment, we would have an accord.

sakubunny;
Ofcourse we can't climb on ceilings.
That's for the make-believe.

no i don't think i am thinking what you were thinking cause i got the posters completely mixed up. But some one was mentioning that he had fangs and when they go out into the sun they break out into a rash. and they were wondering if that may have anything to do with vampirsm (sp?) i wrote that i break out in a horrible and painful rash when i am in the sun and the thing that blocks it sun block i have been told it was an allergy to the sun, but you might have a different insight on that..........that was it.

I've read through this post and find some of it rather amusing. I, like many, have read the Anne Rice books, liked the idea and actually wished aloud for something to happen to me. Nothing did obviously. Is amazing how this thread is bouncing around like crazy, between vague references to other kins and the like. If you know something, say it clearly and intelligible so others can understand and learn something. Don't make vague references to knowing something and not elaborating on it.

All I have to say is that if vampyres do exist, I am sure they would not come to this board and post vague references of themselves. Especially if they truly wanted to be left alone or to be anonymous. Like any good secret society, the goal is to stay secret - because if not they would be a not-so-secret society. Coming onto ATS is not exactly accomplishing that goal.

As a side note to that, in other threads in other sections of this forum I have gritted my teeth when people have jumped up and down asking for the concrete proof in regards to UFOs and ghosts. This being because I believe in this phenomenon. Its either one believes and investigates that belief, or one does not (and as it happens bashes those that do). I can't say I believe in vampyres. There are however various vampiric traits within the human populus which have been proven by science, and these could be what helped the growth of the mythos of vampyres. So with that said, I'd love to be proven wrong in regards to their existence; but it doesn't help when you have people posing as something they clearly are not.

Show me the money.

I say lets get back onto topic and post some more stories. After all, Hallowe'en is almost upon us.

Cheers.

DD.

You seem to have trouble grasping what I am saying. I have Vampyric traits. As in I need to feed off energy and that I have sharp teeth that look like fangs. Obviously vampires from the movies do not exist. Anyone who thinks that.....well, has a low IQ. I think you're comparing real vampires to the ones in the movies. What I mean by real vampire is just someone who has vampiric traits similar to the myths. Again, you have fallen victim to the media's portrayal. Do you watch Fox news by any chance? Heh...

Anyway, this has really gone off topic. I probably won't be checking back in this thread as I actually have important things to do.

Actually, I wasn't really referring to you, if you thought so, my apologies. Its more or less those that think because they dress Goth and nibble on their lover's neck they are vampyres. However, I am little confused by what you consider sharp teeth? My canines are fairly sharp, but proportionate to the rest of my teeth. Are you saying you have typical-vampiric canines? Which isn't anything major, my friend had the same thing, he has since had dental work done. As for the energy feeding. How does one do this? Is it better than Red Bull?

Are these two traits what you are considering vampiric? What other traits are there if not the ones made famous by Hollywood? Granted Hollywood probably (did) embelish them a bit for entertainment, but I'm sure they have some semblance to those seen in ancient lore?

As for my preference for television stations. Fox is okay, watch it for Prison Break. But NBC is another favorite...it has Heroes.

As for having more important things to do...good for you. Everyone needs a hobby.

well here's the idea: it could commence one week before Halloween so that less suspicion would be aroused and if someone saw it, it would simply looked at differently but still freakin' awesome.

oh and night dweller, to ask two questions about the past, did you like the mid to late sixties? and who was your favorite musician from said era?

I must say this is an intriguing thread, which I have spent the last few hours reading. I also have to say that I am impressed by the wealth of knowledge that you possess NightDweller, it encompasses many different areas that most would not form links with. It certainly lends itself to the validity of your claim.

I too have questions for you:
How are the bodies of victims suffering exsanguination disposed of? You don’t often hear of bodies which have been drained of blood being found, and if there are as many vampires as you say, then there must be quite a body count world wide, especially if some are much more embracing of the lifestyle than you are.
If your DNA has a different molecular structure to that of humans how do you evade the DNA testing that is now done as routine by the police force for murders, as well as all the other forensic tests that can be conducted to identify the perpetrator of a crime?

I understand that tracking down and detaining a vampire would be tricky and one would never be caught and arrested but these are things that I wonder how vampires overcome, as DNA evidence of something non-human must classify as evidence your existence.
