Now it would be nice if we could get back to the topic. There are those of us that find it interesting and would like to see it continue in a constructive manor.

Whether you agree with the symbolism or not is up to you. Since you disagree with the OP, please state your interpretation of the symbols. One at a time, with references, and then in conjunction with the others for an overall meaning. Thus showing an alternate possible meaning that can be discussed.

Oh I'm sorry, but you might need to spin again. Dismissing an entire post would be saying "your stupid - that's all I need to say." I backed up my point with an example and demonstrated the stupidity. That's called describing something.

I won't go through and quote the 100+ lines of anti-masons dismissing everything that is said that disagrees with them by simply saying "your stupid" with no evidence. If you can't see it, you never will.

Of course, all this shows is you cannot at all refute what I have posted, but are back to arguing about arguing. I have posted - line by line - what you want, you just can't refute it.

I have yet to see a "secret society" on here where everyone doesn't know who is a member and who is not a member. This is because the REAL secret societies out there, which may exist, would not even be known about by this board.

Also, Bush and Clinton aren't Masons. Bush was bestowed an honorary title, but he isn't a regular Mason and isn't accepted as such. I dont know if Clinton even had an honorary title.

Are you not aware that our country was FOUNDED on the idea of Greek and Roman government? It makes perfect sense that we would have Greco/Roman art in our govt buildings, that's where our ideas on democracy came from. Also, you've got your symbolism all wrong. Satan has a pitchfork, not a trident.
And that picture of the Gaia statue? Where did you get your "information"? There is only one known Gaia image ever and it was a very rotund woman, pregnant with the Earth. It looked nothing like the statue picture you posted.
There's not one single Satantic thing in this art or in the Capitol dome. I've studied Greek, Roman and Egyptian mythology and symbology for 45 years, and you sir, have it all wrong.
Also, remember, there WAS NO SATAN until way after Greek and Roman times. Satan was created by the Christians. so how could ANY of these symbols be Satanic? They are much older than the concept of Satan.

As you correctly point out, Greece is indeed where democracy was born. The Athenian direct democracy was one of the most important political experiments in human history, in my opinion. That we honor their achievement, which you again correctly stated is the basis of our government, should be unsurprising.

I think anyone who has any desire to study and comprehend United States history would find the facts that forestlady posted to be quite true and prevalent at during the Revolution. The spirit of Republic as exemplified by the Greeks and Romans was idealized by the Founding Fathers. It prevailed on many of the decision making procesess including the design of the court system, the multiple branches of government and the use of codified law to cite a few important instances.

As for the apotheosis of George Washington, he was hailed as a new Cincinatus, the famed Roman general who retired from power after his alloted term expired and returned to his farm. Washington could indeed be called the 'Saviour' of America as he famously said when urged by his troops to become King, "I did not fight George III to become George I."

The Fasces were no more sinister an emblem when installed on the Capitol then any other of the iconography depicted there. The sole reason they have their present tyranical implication is due to Mussolini's incorporation of them into his party's imagery.

I do not see anything sinister in the icongraphy of the Capitol, on the contrary, I find it to be a fantastic and stylized incorporation of ancient history with that of the United States own history and accomplishments.

Stompk, that video is so full of inaccuracies, it's laughable. I mean, c'mon, Alex Jones? MR Jones knows nothing about symbolism, witchcraft, Magick, or Satanism. His young henchman, whoever he is, has got it ALL wrong. He claims Columbia is actually a Babylonian goddess. He then says she is actually Enyo, a Babylonian god who looks just like Columbia. Firstly, how can a goddess look like a god? Next, Enyo was GREEK and she was a goddess not a god. Nor did she look like the Statue of Freedom on the capitol.

BUT...they look nothing alike if you go to these URLs. Statue of Freedom is a composite of the early American image of the Indian Princess (presumably Pocahontas), and the American goddess Columbia (that's right, she was an American creation). The Indian Princess motif has a headdress of feathers. Enyo does not. The 2 are very different.
Also, there's nothing evil about the pentagram - it is a symbol of protection, NOT destruction, as Jones and henchman would have you believe. The American goddess Columbia is about as American as apple pie.

Enlil was the Sumerian god of the wind - nothing evil about him. Stompk, just because it's about gods and goddesses doesn't make them evil. I think doing some research into mythology would benefit you, if you're going to be telling us what various symbols and deities represent.

I didnt say that I believed it or anything and didnt say that it looked anything like the statue...I just felt bad for you writing all that stuff about the wrong god.
