Now I have some questions for whosoever is willing to answer them. These questions bother me as well as others everywhere. Starting with supernatural abilities. Not things like reading minds or mental abilities, I mean physical abilities such as flying, healing quickly, abnormal strength, etc. Also, if you answer with the usual "I have that ability!" Please send some proof of that. I know that you may be telling the honest truth but I can't immediately believe that firsthand. Especially through the internet. If you have any footage or pictures (preferably not photoshoped...) please send them along with your explanation.

My second question is simply, who here believes that there is a soul mate for everyone? And if not for everyone, the majority? Please send your thoughts.

And thirdly, spirits. Send stories to my other thread revolving around just that topic. I am very interested to hear such stories. Each one of these topics fascinate me greatly and I would appreciate it if you would reply with answers of detail.

A thank to you in advance.

I believe that there may be a small percentage of people with abilities outside the norm, but they are probably few,and most of these abilities are probably not particularly noticeable in common day life.
I don't believe in soul mates. I believe there are people who are amazingly compatible, the rest is romantic BS.

I believe in soul mates myself, but just about everyone has not found theirs or has not looked hard enough. There are so many divorces and people don't truly even know what they want from a man/woman.

I believe soul mates get along together so well they could spend many lifetimes together and still love eah other a lot. This isn't the case with many people on earth, but I don't know everyone on this planet and no one else does, I'm just saying finding a soul mate by coincidence is basically impossible.

Question 2.

Yes, I believe that someone and maybe everyone has a soulmate.
[Dictionary definition - someone who is temprementally suited to youself]
However, you may never meet that elusive soulmate in a dozen lifetimes Fate and circumstance plays a part in connecting one to the other so in a crowded world I would not hold up much hope for a genuine soulmate connection unless a pure fluke happens.
If this happens then (I suppose) it's meant to be it's that simple.

I will have to agree with this but only to an extent. I agree that there are too many divorces and unstable couples in this world. Also, I agree that the majority of people do not know what they look for in a love nor do they know whether or not they have found it. People today are just so lax that they don't realize when they are not being careful enough or too careful. So many people are afraid of commitment or they are too scared that they are not meant to be with the other person. Eventually letting that second part of them slip away into the hands of someone else. Sadly, I fear that is how I have become.

Regrettably, I do not believe it is that simple. Because there is so much falsehood and fakes in the world it is frightening to think that you have found someone made specifically for you and vice versa. In my point of view, when and if you do find this person you have doubt that you are meant to be even if everything in the world is pointing to the answer yes. You fear that it is just your vivid imagination and fantasies that is just hiding you from their true purpose. Then, you end up loosing them and feeling even more regretful for not taking the moment when you had it in your palm. Now, I have not yet lost this person nor have I won him. But I fear that I am just imagining that he is for me. I know for a fact that in my eyes he is perfect for me in every way and that no other compares but I cannot but think to myself that it is not the same way for him. It is sad to think so but in this situation it is obviously best to be cautious, regardless of the signs. They, as many of us know, can be deceiving when it comes down to emotions.

I don't believe in "Soul Mates." I believe some people are better "Matched" than others. We all have "gaps" in our lives, where we lack certain traits, and if another can fill those gaps, there can be a strong bond, as long as one respects the other, and treats them as they wish to be treated. Thats the "seed" of "Friendship" and you have to be best of friends before you can be anything else. Thats your "foundation" to build on. A relationship without a foundation is superficial, and can crumble from the slightest tremor. Follow your heart, and not logic, since logic is blind in relationships.

You can never win a Lottery, if you never buy a ticket. Its that simple. Thinking and wondering if you picked the right numbers, pays nothing, if you dont play. You dont have to be a Rocket scientist to figure that one out. So there is a chance you pick the wrong numbers. So what? You play again, and look ahead, not behind you. "Live." Dont put it off. Your days on Earth are not infinate. Use them.

As far as our "Supernatural"powers? I think we all are capable of a lot more than we can imagine. All of us. The difference is that we all have not found how to "unlock" those capabilities, in our minds. I believe the "key" is an emotional and mental state we have to be in, where certain things in our minds are in alignment. Some accidently have a moment where they achieve it, and it passes. Some have been able to partially align the required places in their minds, and realize they can do something, but not how to keep themselves there. Others dont even try, so they deny it existing. I think I know where that "state of mind" may be, but have not been able to duplicate it at will. Only by accident or circumstances. Still working on it though.

I think also, that anyone who has experienced a success, in doing something supernatural, does not feel like they need to prove it to others. You know it happened, saw it happen, and it makes little difference if anyone believes it or not. You know it was real, and thats what counts.

Concerning superpowers:
I understand that they need not to prove it to anyone. I am not asking them to show me their ability because I do not believe it can't happen. I am just curious to see it. I believe it, now I want to learn more. Thank you for your opinion it was very knowledgeable.

Concerning "Soul Mates": I agree in the way of "matching" but do you not believe even in the slightest that there could be such a thing as two people who were made only for each other? I'm not saying the kind that EVERYONE has a perfect mate, just the theory of a small number such as one or two couples maybe three, that have a person somewhere (sometimes near them) that is made specifically for them?

My dad heals 2 times faster than normal people. I can't prove it though and that's what my mom said the doctor told her.

sorry there are no such things as superpowers. The things in comics like flying and rockets coming out of your head are fake. But if you are interested in "psi"(energy basically) or other regions of psychic phenomena go to the sites I have listed below

psipog.net
www.astralsociety.com...
www.psipalatium.com...
www.psionguild.org...

these are good places to start.

sandman441, it is perfectly fine that you can't prove it. I believe you and think that is very interesting. When did you find that out and how did your dad find out? Was it by some sort of injury that he healed quickly from? Or something by theory?

navd2, thank you for the links! I am very interested in psi energy and have been looking into it lately. I am thrilled for the information you've given. Thank you!

No, not in the slightest. I think that relationships are based on a building of attractions that start at the moment that two people meet, based on physical appearance, interaction in words or perceptions, common interests, and the sense that that the other person may be strong in areas in your life that you may be weak in. Like pieces in a "puzzle" everything just fits into place, and your expectations are exceeded. Has nothing to do with preordained "I am for you" destiny. We make our own paths, and we make our own choices. Some we may regret, and some we may do right, but its our choices. Thats what I believe

I'm afraid it's just all probability mate. Here's your answer:

That doesn't mean it's not fun to pretend.

Having spent a majority of my life in Martial arts i can attest that yes as we become in tune with our bodies and minds we do develop "abilties" as you say. Martial arts and other thinsg like mediatation can be keys to unlock our "hidden potential" so to speak.

Indeed, I believe that Martial Arts, if taken seriously and with its mental aspects, and not just attempts at physical feats, aligns a lot of the mental states needed, to unlock these abilities. However, I do not think its enough. The rest of the combinations, in my opinion, are unlocked usually by accident, and a series of events that stimulate the right areas and produce the right emotions needed, and "Bang" it happens and passes, and we can not reproduce that state at will. This would explain the majority of feats people accomplish, which we read about, are executed in states of extreme anxiety and excitment. Not saying we can not do this, but just have not learned how yet. Again, in my opinion, meditation is not the key. I think its just the opposite. Our mind has to be "zapped" by a combination of emotions such as one has when you have almost achieved a goal, and the last second it slips from your grasp. That state of mind. Winding up your mental state, like a spring, and then releasing and directing that energy, at that instant, at a specific target.

Thats my two cents worth..

Now, I understand about the Martial Arts reply but as said before, I'm not exactly talking about the abilities formed from the mind. I am speaking more along the lines of the physical abilities. Healing abilities, flying, speed, things that are the famously used 'superhero' powers. Personally I would think that these abilities would take very little mental power to activate them. But of course, I can be wrong. Do you suppose that these are controlled specifically on mental will of using them, or are these people who posses these powers (if there are any) just born this way, automatically able to use them. Just like how a new born turtle, who has been abandoned by its mother, has automatic instincts of how to live. (sorry for the lame analogy, it's all I can think of at the moment.
