You were tardy again. Look up before your last.

The study discusses simple correlations and recommends them as poor science then goes on to support its assertion beyond simple correlation.

ok, the studies do find a link, but there's nothing that shows that gun ownership is the primary factor here instead of other factors.(didn't read them at first due to time constraints and a migraine)

Madness, why do you dismiss that every city, state, or country with lots of guns per person has a lower crime rate then the city, state, or country that bans them? Is it not obvious why the crime rate is lower? I mean in a city where guns are banned a man can take the city hostage with a machette. In a city where guns are allowed? He needs a tank to get much damage done.

And again, why do you ignore the 10,000+ years of humans killing each other without guns? Or do you think those shiny swords and maces used in the dark ages only left little boo boos and didn't kill? Why do you ignore that people like I haven't even needed to fire the gun just point and say drop the bat mfer or I'll blow your effing brains all over my carpet then sue your family for the cleaning bill instead of being beaten to death with a bat and house robbed?

sweeping generalization, reducto ad absurdium, strawman...

i never said we should ban guns...
where are you getting the idea that i do from?

alright, this is the last straw(man), i'm leaving the discussion as nobody seems to realize that i'm looking for an alternative to needing guns, not getting rid of guns.

As long as the government has guns, the people need them as well.

Pretty simple actually.

Amen slackerwire!

We have the right to bear arms in defense of our selves, property and rights against anyone who would take them- especially (and most likely) from the government - which means we should be able to defend ourselves from the arms they carry with the arms they carry.
