"The events of Manhattan were retaliation against the American-Israeli alliance's aggression against our people in Palestine and Lebanon, and I am the only one responsible for it. The Afghan people and government knew nothing about it. America knows that," the al-Qaida leader said.

"As the FBI has said since 9/11, bin Laden was responsible for the attack," Kolko said in a statement. "In this latest tape, he again acknowledged his responsibility. This should help to clarify for all the conspiracy theorists, again - the 9/11 attack was done by bin Laden and al-Qaida."

Are they going out of there way to make the statement that OBL was the mastermind of the attacks?

I have never doubted that Bin Laden was the one behind it. However, what I do wonder is how much did our government know and when did they know it..

You can't expect me, or anyone else, to honestly think that the U.S government didn't have a clue that this event was coming. Come on, now... You may tell one dumb ass that, but you're not going to tell this one that and make me believe it.

Osama was behind it?!!?

What a joke. He had nothing to with 9/11. Nothing! He's probably the biggest scapegoat in history.

It was a total inside job. No doubt at all.

Howard, I keep hearing people say that, but I don't see any clear cut proof of that at all. Government involvement? Sure, I'll go with that... No culpibility of Osama and the terrorists? BS

So, which mastermind is it again?

OBL? KSM?

We can't quite decide who to "terror" up our news anymore, so there seems to be a little confusion.

Osama Bin Laden, Al Qaeda, Taliban, Hamas, Iran, Syria, Muslims, Islamo Fascists.

Lions, tigers and bears, OH NO!

And the "proof" from both sides is light. More like equal speculation than any "proof" at all, my friend.

DeadFlags... Oh,my

U.S. officials regard Mohammed as
a key al-Qaida lieutenant and organizer
of the terror mission that sent
hijacked passenger jets crashing
into the World Trade Center, the
Pentagon and into a field in the U.S.
state of Pennsylvania, killing more
than 3,000 people.
Oh,my

It doesn't say that he was THE master mind it says that he was a KEY organizer...
Big difference there, yo...

Oh, Speaker...

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Admitted 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed told a U.S. military tribunal he personally beheaded Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl in 2002, the Pentagon revealed Thursday.

Yeah, but there is something you're missing. The U.S government didn't say that he was the mastermind.... HE DID.... You see?
So, back to your original question... OBL or KSM... Well, according to the U.S gubment, OBL is still considered the mastermind of 9/11... Don't obfuscate. Do not obfuscate. It's harmful to your health.

Or, even...

"I would like to assure the world that I did not plan the recent attacks, which seems to have been planned by people for personal reasons," bin Laden's statement said.

"I have been living in the Islamic emirate of Afghanistan and following its leaders' rules. The current leader does not allow me to exercise such operations," bin Laden said.

Dead, as critical as I am of our government, I'm not going to take the word of some fanatic over the word of those in office. I just won't..Did our government have involvement? Most likely. Is Osama Bin freaking Laden innocent? You have got to be kidding me!!!

These people have said it themselves. I believe Osama had no part in it because he is supposed to be a "fanatical" Muslim. He would praise his own work if he was truly responsible. He denied that he did it the day after with no pressure whatsoever. He said them while calm and with his own free will. I do have trouble believing the statements out of KSM's mouth because those results came out while he was under "interrogation."

Sometimes you just have to give up hope and rely on yourself. Your government is fooling you, and will continue to fool you.

Let's say all of the theories about Bin Laden working for the CIA and the U.S government is true... To me, that makes him even more suspect. Some will say, "Well, he just did what he was ordered to do." Yeah, but he still done it, regardless...

Well, okay, if he is, why would he coordinate the attacks if he was WORKING with the CIA? How is he in any way shape or form fit to "mastermind" an attack like that. Wouldn't it be easier to plot such an event with all your respective specialists and materials and just blame it on some ambiguous man in a region most Americans can't even pronounce?

Pfft, they aren't fooling me. I know they're up to no good.. That's all I need to know. This piecemeal stuff is a side note to me.

I can tell you this, there are real people who would walk in the middle of a shopping center and blow you to hell just as quick as they would to look at you. Regardless of who was behind the 9/11 thing, it brought a bunch of REAL people out of the woodwork.. To deny that would be naivete at its worse.

We all should come to terms with the government has failed us in most respects. These men and women who are getting $400 dollar hair cuts and flying around in private planes, shuttled by limos have ZERO disregard for you and yours. The minute you come to terms with that, the more enlightened you instantly become. In this world, it very much is "us" against "them." And we all have to work together to make our country the benchmark for freedom as it once was.

What's easy and what happens are all too often separated instances.

Here is what we know for a fact...

1. Bin Laden was supported by the U.S during the Russian-Afghanstani conflict.
2. He is originally from Saudi Arabia which also has strong ties with the U.S
3. He had family living in New York at the time of the attack and is believed to have frequented his relatives there.
4. He is the head of Al-Queda

Beyond that, we really don't know much more about Osama bin Laden...

Flags, uh, you're not telling me anything I don't know. I knew that fifteen years ago. What really opened my eyes about the federal government was the whole Waco tragedy. To me, it has been down hill from there in realation to our government.
