Great article. I highly recommend reading this one.

How could we have been so far off in our estimates of Saddam Hussein's weapons programs? A leading Iraq expert and intelligence analyst in the Clinton Administrationwhose book The Threatening Storm proved deeply influential in the run-up to the wargives a detailed account of how and why we erred

I can tell you without reading it. All the supposed evidence against Saddam's WMD program was all bull#!! It was FABRICATED! Repeat after me people.... THERE WERE NEVER ANY WMD! Iraq posed no threat to the US. And that my friends is the TRUTH! Can you handle it?

Mostly, yes. But read it anyway. I'm definitely not looking for comments unrelated to the article. If you didn't even read it, your comment holds absolutely no value in this thread.

I just finished reading the whole thing. Boy that article was long. And like I said before.... Its Bull#

Yes, it's a long article, but it's probably the closest thing to the truth I've seen yet. This guy was actually privy to the real info, which is a hell of alot more than most of what we hear and see. Basically, he's saying that they had meetings, and since everyone believed that Saddam had WMD capabilities, it was so.
Of course, I already knew this, but until more people like this guy come forward and tell the real story, all your ranting and raving will do no good. You're not going to prove a thing by just saying "it's bull#". You have to show proof that it's bull# before anything can/will be done about it. Knowing all the details is the first step. This article is quite in depth.

Yep...all that Intel used was "fabricated"......

I guess someone had better enlighten the UN, Germany, France, Spain, UK, US, etc....cause all the intelligence documented and used was pointing and indicating the very same thing: Iraq still had WMD.

Good article which I believe cannot be labeled with "it's #" as a counter-argument.

Thanks for the find.

Jesus Krist! You read all that and you still think they had WMD? I'm sorry, but you're hopeless!

Get off it man, the truth has come out, and it has proven all of us (who knew there were no WMDs to begin with, and it was all lies) RIGHT, and you WRONG...but I'm sure you will continue to defend this lie, so have fun.

I recently saw a program done by the BBC about Iraq and it's "programs" for ICBMs and WMD.

It is, it said that the evidence leading was accurate on the surface that it did have thr programs and they were making progress.

They had actual programs for missiles which I believe they have found.

But since we are now there and can see these "programs" we have found out that they were no real programs, but rather lies told from the various people to profit. They lied to Saddam, who incidentally was out of touch.

The system in Iraq was crumbling and in the end it was said that Saddam did not really have any real control over Iraq.

I do agree with Seeker that the intel worldwide would be a pretty big bundle of wool to pull over our eyes.

There's no need to pull the wool over the eyes of blind and paranoid idiots. They can screw up without any real effort anyway.

every day i hear people say "HEY! OH MY GOD! THERE WERE NO WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION!!"

great, we've heard it all before and frankly i REALLY do not care. i cant believe people are so wrapped up in their own little worlds. saddam is now down from power and iraq can now get a sense of freedom. they now have a voice. (dont bother with the news links to protesters being shot, ive seen it all before)

what really matters is how to get Iraq back on its feet and i think the people wearing down the words "WMD" need to sort out priorities.

anyway, even if they did find WMD, people would say they'd been planted by the US.
i dont think its the WMD's that they hav(n't) dug up, but the corpses of the victims of saddams regime that justify this war.

alot of anti-war, anti-bush/blair and anti-everything-the-UK-and-US-do people are EXTREMELY arrogant. they care about noone but themselves and they LOVE to prove their own government wrong. they are a disgrace to humanity, just like saddam and unlike bush.

Sure, it only cost us about a trillion dollars. Don't come crying to me when a loaf of bread costs $23000 dollars.
You don't seem to realize what's happened. We just spent more money than the next 10 generations will be able to pay.

Too bad for us that oil has such a lackluster market in the world today.

We could make a profit if it did. Not to mention, we LOANED Iraq money, not granted it.

It's all a bunch of lies. That's why the programs were there and it has been shown. Saddam was being lied to and thought they actually were working.
