Where they were at was quite a ways farther north than the 46. When she called 911 they were transfered to the Firebaugh substation of the County
Sheriffs Dept. So they were north of CA 198(the Fesno county/kings county line). I believe they were between manning ave and ca 33.
Either way they were a long ways awy from edwards or the china lake facility. They were about 40 NW of lemoore NAS, and theres just not much flying
around out there.
20-25 years ago the airforce did test the f-117 over the valley on several occasions, but they could get away with it then, there are so many people
in the vallley, now, that it would be virtually impossible to keep anything secret.
In all my years living here and living a very outdoor related lifestyle, Ive never seen the military do any kind of practice, formation flying,
refueling practice, or any other such activity over the san joaquin valley. They go out to the test range to the west over the ocean or out to china
lake, they never come over here to do that stuff.
Ive watched night time crop dusting operations on many occasions, by both plane and heli, and that is cetaunly not what is on the tape.
At one point one of the women comments on a red blinking light, I think that maybe if they were looking east, as it appears the the red blinking
lights might be one of several radio towers that dot the area. There is stretch of the highway were can see 4 of them at 1 time. The closest being
just a mile or two from the highway the farthest being about 25 miles away.
I have had the good fortune of seeing a b1b and a b2 doing low altitude manuevers, on separate trips to the deserts outside of palmdale.
The b2 was very serene to watch as it did a lazy figure 8 out in the desert. The B1B on the other hand came blasting through a canyon at a rather
brisk pace and was very "on the edge" so to speak.
The one thing that both encounters had in common was the noise, even though the b2 was several miles away it was still clearly audible, aand the b1b
fly over was earth shattering.
Thats the thing that gets me about the video is the lack of noise.
Randsburg is a hoot on the dirt bike.
Lemoore looked virtually deserted over the weekend, I think that they are all deployed overseas.
