HI everyone Im new here and this is my first post. I have been searching the net for a somewhat decent site to discuss something I was told about and then was witness to here in Ireland. i chose this site as it seems to be privy to people with a lot of experience in explaining these matters.
I am not a gullible or naive person and normally discount everything strange as a coincidence etc. But for a friend of mine, who would be of the same nature, confiding in me something he witnessed and then proving it to me left me with no doubt.
I am an Electrical Engineer by profession and my friend is too. I currently lecture in this discipline. My colleague works for a major multinational company based in USA, in one of its research and development offices here in Ireland.
My colleague came to see me 3 weeks ago and appeared to be in some kind of state of disbelief and took a while to get around to explaining his story. He stated that the managing director(Irish) had been relieved of his duty and had been replaced by a guy from Colorado some 5 months ago. According to him nobody seemed to feel comfortable at all around the new guy for some reason (not because he was MD by the way!). He had a strange way of looking at people and a few workers said they felt as though they had been hypnotised after speaking to him. Now my colleague works for a \"special projects department\" in this company. Nothing special or groundbreaking in my opinion but thats the title himself and 2 other workers are given. They were brought to a hotel for a meeting with the new MD and he proposed a new project for them which seemed to stray from their usual work and involved very sophisticated data communications. They then were made sign a contract swearing they would not disclose any information and that they (and only they) would be moving to a new premises. One of the guys refused and was asked to leave and work in a different department. So my friend and the other worker were driven to the mountains (in Ireland they are more like hills!) and entered a site in the middle of nowhere off a newly made road that doesnt exist yet on a map. The compound cannot be seen from the road and the new road that leads to it is about 2 miles long. They entered the compound which he said resembled a hospital. There were about 60 people working there mostly from USA. They were brought into a room and told by the MD that they would report as normal to work in the old office but from time to time they would be brought there to work to test new projects. The major thing was that they reported to the MD alone and did not discuss anything with work colleages in the old office AND employees in the new compound were divided into teams, each perfoming a specific task, and were not allowed converse with members of any other team only their own! Each team had its own room and lavatory etc so they were separated sufficiently. He has only worked in it once so far and he told me it was a project involving a new protocol and equipment for sending and receiving data that could be used for distances up to 5000Km theoretically!!!!! He said there was nothing strange looking about the equipment but he doesnt know how it works (he hasnt seen design spec or drawings YET!). It was already set up etc when he got there. The day he was there a message came back to his user interface in a language he did not understand (he told me it was a symbolic language). He reported this to the MD and in 5 minutes after being led out of the room, he was allowed back in and the user interface was operating in english again. This seemed to unnerve him a little and he told me the story.
At first i didnt believe about the location of this new office he had to work in because the area is totally uninhabited and the roads that lead to there are totally substandard and no signs of life around for a 10Km radius approx. So he took me up to see the site last saturday afternoon at 2pm approx. I have to say I could not believe what I saw. The new road that leads off the old haggard road had a gate on it and there was a fence surrounding the whole site. Where it is situated is at the near the highest part so it was impossible to go any higher and see into the site. He said that this fence and gate were brand new! So we hovered around for a while and tried parts of the perimeter but could see nothing only a grey building in the distance that he said was the new workplace. When we were leaving we were followed by 2 separate cars (bearing in mind the area this is in is normally inactive and might see 2 cars per day if even that! I dont know where they came from either. They stopped following us after about a mile then disappeared again. I intend to go back next weeken and try to get some pics.

PS: got a pic from the net which shows the kind of area im talking about

dont really know what to say maybe some pictures will help. hopefully your friend doesnt lose his job because of this post imean if only a handful of people work there and you guys were followed it wouldnt be hard for them to identify who spilled the beans.

That's exactly what i was thinking. Your friend is an "Electrical Engineer" and you went to this place with your car (or his) i suppose. This story sound bad for your friend's job in my opinion.
Maybe you're a disinfo agent , or just a naive type of guy i'm not sure.

Thanks for sharing this anyway

Can't your friend tell you more about this "weird language" ; a drawing would enlighten us a bit i guess.

can you find and post the location on google earth. that way we could see the area in question and other ireland members may be able to check it out themselves.

There are already ULH (ultra long-haul) optical transmission networks out there that can reach 4000 km. Not sure why they would feel the need to go to such great lengths to keep a 5000km system so secret.

Sorry, can't just believe this one without further evidence or information.

Hi Justyc,
I have not used google earth before but i will try installing it and get some reference points for you. It is located in the Dublin/Wicklow mountains for starters anyway!

there is an online version available here that can be used so you don't have to install it (though it is useful to have anyway)

Your link is blank, which means the http adress doesn't exist (anymore).

Could you give us another link, more than out a turist brochure.

Thank you.

eissocsref, that's one odd story. Any chance of getting those coordinates, or better yet, a photo of the area. You said that it's in the Dublin/Wicklow area...and funnily enough that's where I live.
I know the surrounding countryside pretty well though I'm no tour guide, so it shouldn't be too much trouble to find this mysterious entrance.
As to this facility being constructed in the backside of the mountains, that doesn't surprise me as there are construction works everywhere you look around Dublin. Heck, you could build another Area 51 around here and nobody would bat an eyelid.

So if the facility is located on the highest hill and there's no place you can view it wouldn't it be logical to get aerial photos of the place? If it's in the middle of nowhere then the airspace isn't likely to be restricted. I'm not sure if we have any pilots or such here, maybe RC plane/chopper photos then?
If the OP would just post those gps coordinates to the place, cant be that difficult to find it based on the description of his account.

Hi all,

I believe the area the op is speaking of is here/link.
Google Maps

I matched it with his first linked photo, see link.
First Pic.

This link is the same area but zoomed in between the two lakes.
Google Maps

I do not have Google earth installed but as you can see the area behind the lakes is not clear using Google maps so it might be worth a look with Google Earth to see if there are some more updated images of the area.

Hope this helps.

P.S. I could be wrong about location so I will wait to hear what the op says.

one-- that area is pretty remote and i think there using inputted or photoshopped fog to cover the area up and still make it look natural..or maybe its just fog...idonno are you talking about the exact location that comes up when you click that link or somewhere nearby because what you have coming up in the google map link seems like it could be it... much too small and not enough buildings to be a city or village and a parking lot so im assuming its not a farm espescially since theres no cultivation or farming equipment also what are those white things? propane tanks for generators?

It might not be a black op because it is to do afterall, with communications. However, it is obvious that this is obviously secretive work. I actually believe the poster - for my own reasons which I will not give.

How I would love to recce that site

Glendalough is a very popular tourist spot and the hills round about are frequented by hillwalkers all the time. Hardly the best place to build a 'secret' establishment.

good detective work but i'm afraid all you have is a car park at a tourist attraction, nice place to go for a walk though!

OP, i'ld be happy to take a look at the site aswell if we could get co-ordinates, i'ld also like to know who your working for if possible, you can't be too afraid of a comeback if you were willing to drive up to the gates in your car.giving the name of the company on an anonimous website has got to be less risky.
