I'm not sure if I read into your inspiration correctly, but it sounds like you wrote that about War.
Incredibly, beautifully, accurate.
I have a friend who is a war vet...who would no doubt share the sentiments you convey here.

yeah man, get your main melody down....hit your riff. talk that baby out like sprektime and after each verse, get a few bars of some picking.......hit the bridge for the face melter....back to the final 4 verses...after the last verse, fade out another melter...
