I don't have to prove myself to you. I don't have to be a Packers fan for as many years as you to be just as big a fan.

If I was a bandwagon fan, I'd be a Patriots fan. But I'm not. I hate them with a passion.

Guess who else I'm a fan of? The Texans. THE TEXANS! The team that hasn't ever been above .500. I was a Packers fan during their 4-12 season. Is that your definition of a bandwagon fan?

I'm sorry you're pleased with losing in the NFC Championship game after a pathetic performance, but don't talk down to me because you don't like what you see in my posts. If you have a problem with me, ignore me.

Good. I'm glad they had a great season. But the regular season ends when the playoffs begin. The PLAYOFFS are all that matters at that point. Clearly 13-3 meant absolutely nothing to the Giants.

Yes, no Super Bowl win = worthless. I'm sorry your expectations are so low.

The idea that they did not try to win that game by playing as hard as they could is both ridiculous and offensive.

They didn't play up to their potential. If you think they did, then you think the Giants are a better team. THAT is offensive.

Absolutely you are.

If it makes you feel good you can compare Brett Favre to Trent Dilfer all you want...hell compare him to Cleo Lemon.

I would never begrudge a person the opportunity to spit venom after a tough loss.

So I dont need to prove to you what kind of fan I am.

Too late. I've already stereotyped you.

I mean, you compared Favre to Jeff Hostetler...

... if you dont like my opinion, thats fine, but I highly doubt your going to be the one to tell me what to think and what to say about a team I support.

And I highly doubt that I would sit idly by and watch someone piss all over a Hall-of-Fame QB because he only won EIGHT games more than he was supposed to this year...not TEN.

In regaurds to Bret being compared to Hostetler,Rypen and Dilfer, they all do have something in common.1 sole SuperBowl win.
And I could care less what you sterotype me as,you know little to nothing about me,so your opinion fails.
And again,if you do not like what I think or say, feel free to ignore me.

Good one.

Of course, Favre has over 6,000 yards passing more than all three of those guys combined...and 120 more TDs...and a couple more wins.

But what has he done for us lately, right?

And I could care less what you sterotype me as,you know little to nothing about me,so your opinion fails.

It's true, I don't know you from Adam. But if you're willing to turn Judas on "your team" after arguably the most surprisingly successful season in their history...well then I know all about you I need to.

And again,if you do not like what I think or say, feel free to ignore me.

And let the Green Bay Packers "Fan" Thread degenerate into a two-bit bitchfest?

Hell with that.

GO PACK GO!!!!

At what point did I turn "Judas"?
I never said I hate the Packers or that I will never root for them aagin or attend their games.
I am stating that the performance disgusted me last night, and they deserved to lose.
As a fan im entitles to my opinion, good or bad of my team.
And yes, whether, you want to hear it or not,I want Brett to retire.
He had his timein the sun and now its time to move on.
I've seen him throw his last interception,he has given all of us good times and bad, equally.
I've seen what he can and cant do,now I wanna see what Aaron Rodgers can do.
Im stil "Go Packers"!
But until next year,im going to stay jaded because of their half assed performance yesterday.

Absolutely and pathetically shortsighted and unfair.

Be careful what you wish for.

You have every right to go through life jaded and I wish you well with that gameplan.

I think I'm going to have fun remembering that one season when everyone said the Pack would go 3-13 but then they went 13-3 and everyone said Favre was washed up but then he had his highest QB rating since his MVP year in 1996?

That was pretty cool.

You act as if fans are supposed to blindly follow their team and not offer any criticism. Is this a "ah we'll get 'em next time" attitude? Is that what you think most PASSIONATE fans have?

It's not.

As a fan, you're entitled to compliments and criticism. If you, personally, are not the type to throw criticism at them, fine. But don't expect everyone to conform to that way of thinking.

Yes, it was a very good and very exciting regular season. But how you FINISH and capitalize on that good regular season is accomplishing something great. This year was perhaps their best year since their last Super Bowl run, so isn't it fair to at least want, if not expect, an equally great year as the Super Bowl years? Or is this the only goal to have a good regular season and be done?

If we had lost to a good team, then perhaps the bitterness wouldn't be near as high. But it was the Giants. Burress had a good game. Manning isn't usually that good. And they have their pass rush, which did nothing in that game.

Aside from those areas, where are the Giants good? I failed to see this great running attack they allegedly have.

They're a slightly above average team. If you want to be a great team, like the Packers appeared to be in the regular season, you have to beat those above average teams and make them look like they're above average teams, and nothing more.

But no. That's not what happened. The Packers, after this great 13-3 season, and after a come from behind, impressive blow out victory against a Seahawks team that is FAR BETTER than the Giants, they give the Giants opportunity after opportunity to win IN GREEN BAY to go to the Super Bowl.

You don't get those chances often to go to the Super Bowl. Yet they acted like they didn't want it, because despite them giving the Giants every opportunity to win, the Giants gave it right back, and the Packers did absolutely nothing with it.

It was a very poor loss to a very average to slightly above average team at home in an extremely important game. That's not something to be proud of or brush off as acceptable.

Hey guys, or gals...

It's only a game, and another season happens in 8 months. Let's save our arguments for which presidential candidate is best. That at least is important... remember fun and games?

Personally, I'd like to see New England win. But the Giants are better than all of us thought they were.

Let's all lighten up a little.

I just want to say that, as a neutral fan, the officials tried to give that game to the Packers. The Giants, actually just one Giant, tried to give that game to the Packers. The BETTER team won.

The play by Giant linebacker Antonio Pierce was one of the single greatest defensive plays in the history of the NFL IMO, though it probably won't be remembered as such (talking about the screen pass that Pierce defended all by his lonesome). Without that play, the Giants don't win.

As a fan, this Super Bowl is win-win. Either an amazing road-run by the Giants culminating in a Super Bowl victory, or the single greatest season in history by the Pats (if it isn't already). The '72 Dolphins can suck off!

Can't wait.

Peace

Nah. Pack and Giants play ten times, Pack wins eight.

That was an amazing play, to be sure. I'm not sure I'm ready to put it in the "1982 49er goal line stand against the Bengals" strata...but damn impressive nonetheless.

As a fan, this Super Bowl is win-win.

Agreed. Either I get to fight a Giants fan when I wear my cheesehead to the superbowl party, or I get to stare down a bunch of Giant fans without even getting a black eye.

Your tantrums are funny. Thanks, I needed the chuckle after last night's disappointment.

Remember when Ron Paul doesn't make it to the Super Bowl in November that there are no moral victories. Make sure you post that he didn't campaign as hard as he should have. LOL.

You feeling as if you need to talk down to others who can offer criticism without being insecure about how dedicated to their team they are is quite pathetic.

Another thing that is pathetic is that you resort to labeling anyone who disagrees with you a "bandwagon fan" because you have nothing else to make an attack with.

I'm glad that made you laugh. You appear to be the only one.

This just shows desperation on your part. You bring politics in to this, and use my candidate of choice to try and find a sensitive point to attack. Quite funny.

Your comparison was pretty bad, by the way. Stick to the talking down to people trying to make yourself seem like a better fan. You're better at that.

Edit to add: Just to address what you said, though: There are no moral victories in politics either. So I will remember that. Thanks.

Novus, what did I tell you? I told you they wouldn't go. Now that they have been sucha "disappointment," you have nothing but criticism for them. I really don't care since I still LOVE my Cowboys, but , in my opinion, you're just a bandwagoner.. They come, they go..

The only thing that can now make me happy is Favre retiring!
Im overly sick of his interceptions.
He is done, please god please let Aaron Rodgers play next year.
Hopefully Bye Bye Favre!

Yeah, he's only about the best quarterback to ever step foot on the ball field...
What a bum!! :shk: Thank God I'm a Cowboys fan.

The most ridiculious tackle in the whole game. How do you mess up a play where you have 3 blockers and only one guy between you and the goal. They are that bad, or Pierce was that good. Probably both. They deserved to loose after flubbing that play. It was a genius call by the coach and they messed it up.

That's what makes football interesting. You never know what's going to happen.
