I agree. The only problem are the people involved. These are the ones that you need to check their sleeves every time you deal the cards.

And I do live in the here and now, but I have children and grandchildren that will be here when I'm dust "Blowing In The Wind". I want them to have a good life, not have their food held as a weapon by some master group.

one thing that comes to mind on the disturbing thing as the need for a seed bank is,
what if enough time passes after said 'major event' happens and a certain level of evolution was needed for the seed/plant to deal with the current planet's conditions and state of being?

what if stored seeds didn't have the "thing" that was essential for living in a current time in the future? like a small evolutionary change that the plant developed as time unfolded on earth and its environment?
