A controversial plan to allow illegal immigrants in New York state to carry driving licenses has been dropped.

Some 1 million undocumented immigrants in the state are estimated to drive without a license or insurance.

Wow, letting illegal immigrants carry drivers licenses? I didn't even know a plan like this was being considered but I'm shocked that it actually was being considered. I don't have a real strong stance on either side of the fence on illegal immigration but I think it was kind of weird they were even considering something like this.
