A major earthquake rocked a large area of northern Chile on Wednesday, and it was felt in the capital of Santiago. The U.S. Geological Survey calculated the quake's magnitude at 7.7.

The quake, which struck at 10:40 a.m. ET, was centered 780 miles north of Santiago, or 25 miles east-southeast of Tocopilla, the USGS said.

Another big quake. One has to wonder when the BIG ONE will hit the U.S. For some reason I can't wait for the disaster. I guess the release of all the waiting or something.
