NASA scientists debated the photographic evidence for more than a day before deciding the evidence was unavoidable. Something left its footprints on the Martian surface," said my own source at NASA, who insists on remaining anonymous.

Interesting yet I'll remain skeptic until I see a more reliable source, it does have a look of being possibly photoshopped.

I'm still trying to verify this ---but it does seem to be real (at this moment)

I'll look deeper into this....

VERY VERY interesting photo. IT looks real. But i wonder about the source. But it looks very good ;-P

3 footed martian friend ;-P

Follow the footsteps...

Gotta say it looks like a rubber stamp with transparency in an image editing program.

Gut instincts tell me it's a fake. Though I do think there is probably microbial life on Mars myself...

As long as you dont come up with links to the original image at NASA's webpage, this is just rubbish ...

did some digging and found this:

www.xenophilia.com...

looks like the three-toed image is a fake. but there's another interesting photo at that link of a boot footprint that is hosted at the nasa website.

The pictures just have that air of being artificially created, don't they? Something just screams "photoshop" at me.

Mind you, I work in an office where graphic design is done, so the word "photoshop" is screamed all the time, generally preceded by a few choice expletives....

Great find mate
Well they explain it as beeing a rover track and not a boot print , which would also fit :/

I was looking at the Mars Global site for awhile. After some time, it occured to me, what if I were to find one of these? That was a couple weeks ago and I didnt find it. But you might of! Good job!

That'd be something if its for real.

Knowing nasa, if they were real...we wouldn't have seen them EVER! The evidence is stacked against them really hard. They are liars, these are fakes. I work with photoshop alot also and these don't look authentic at all.

the image looks real, but it might be the rover that left that.
looks like it stopped at some point then went back leaving that boot-like print.

i found some other crazy looking images at that same directory:

www.nasa.gov...
www.nasa.gov...
www.nasa.gov...
www.nasa.gov...

Goodie... now that you've seen the beautiful images, delete some of that adress and go to:

www.nasa.gov...

It's 40 years of imagery cut down to a few by artists and photographers. Strange and beautiful? Yes... to our knowledge authentic? Yes...

omg gumby is real, and walking the surface of mars.

All kiding aside, why is their only one foot print? And is this source really viable? I don't buy it... If indeed real it is probably a anamoly or has to do with erosion.

simply looks like the rover stopped, and while moving back dropped some martian soil off that was temporarily stuck on the treads.

Let's nip this one in the bud, folks....

The "Three Toed Alien" pic has already been proven as a fake. In fact, the guy who did is on record about the whole "experiment" he did to (basically) see how gullable conspiracy groups are...

The "Boot" photo is no more than a track from the rover itself. Remember the camera that is taking those pics is mounted to a vehicle which gets around by making contact with the surface. Yes it leaves tracks, and yes they look exactly like what is in that picture...

Another example:

Indeed, that pic is from the Rover itself.

Good find.
