this crap really gets on my nerves....
it's almost as annoying as when people do it on the boards...

so i get on here about 5am and i have a couple u2u's. from from a bud and one from a member i have never heard of...

i was alerted via this pm that even though i didn't ask, my avatar 'may' be pushing religious boundries.....

thing is, i have NO idea what this person is talking about....

i have dexter, before that i had a quilt made to make to look like frank, then i had frank with his guitar....

so mr u2u person, next time, save it.....i don't want to hear it....

if you want to play mod then tell a mod and if it is a problem they will tell me.

it had to be one of these three

so yeah, i don't get it...

i just wanted to rant a bit cause there are a LOT of members here and a fair deal of mods....seems like there are a thousand wanna be mods though that notify you via pm of things and make sure they tell you on the board the rules or something...

that stuff is more than annoying and that is why there are mods and that is why there is a feature to alert the mods....

so one of those might be pushing the boundries and i just don't get it...

btw, the quilt was made by an artist from bras and panties that frank collected at his concerts....

so, there is my rant...

i have been u2u'd by a mod and i have never questioned anything they said....now with that said, i don't need it from members to so from this moment on, if you want to scold me or warn me or whatever, save it...

thanks

No way Boondock! Of all the freakin nerve! Was this person a new member?I say to hell with them then. You have a right to freedom of expression with whatever avatar you chose.BTW- I have been told the use of mine will make me burn in hell too.
Well then yeehaw, pass the marshmallows...
Unbelievable boondock,I see nothing wrong with your images..I have seen far worse.
People need to mind their own...and STFU.
I hope you complained , I surely would.

nah..not really my style....there are a lot of mods on here and they have a lot to deal with.....it does not bother me enough to complain but it bothers me enough to start a rant.....lets see if said individual pops in and tells me why and what avatar was the problem in their eyes....

edit*
they're one of your friends too AD

Oh man I thought you were talking about me. I sometimes send u2us to people if I spot them asking questions about how to format this or that in BBcode. It seems better to send a u2u instead of derailing a thread. I've also sent u2us out if their avatars are way larger than the size limit, causing the whole page formatting to get messed up.

That's not a bad thing, is it?

i wouldn't think it is to let someone know they are jacking pages up....

but why send me a u2u outta nowhere that says

not that you asked......but you avatar is pushing relgious boundries is lame...

i don't need to hear that...don't want to hear that

Its the other way with me!

People think i'm a MOD (i dont see anything that says mod on my avatar) and they write me complaining about someone and will i do something!!!

I always refer them to the REAL mods.

eh. I blow my top when given leactures on the boards about my 'bad' behaviour.. it's annoying as I'm usually very careful about staying within the guidelines. must be we're the cool kids in school or something.
I guess you could just ignore them.. or create a new avatar thats 'still' within the rules yet drives the point home..

i hate lectures on the boards about what i say too. u2u's are worse though.....i try very hard to follow the rules....i have been here for about 3+ years and have only been warned one time...

leave that stuff to the mods...i hate people that play mod....they can report it to a mod but they have to make sure they let you know....

then the u2u and not even knowing what they are talking about...

out of those 3 images, can anyone tell me how any of them can be questionable?

when this person sent the pm, i had the dexter av up(guy with the knife)

i just don't get it

That's the thing with ultra-religious folks (doesn't matter what religion) -- their holier than thou attitude. Gets annoying, doesn't it?

"out of those 3 images, can anyone tell me how any of them can be questionable?"

I don't know, man. I don't see a problem with any of them. Maybe you should put up the knifey guy again. I liked that one.

Beachcoma, I was going to send you a u2u, but I'll do it here instead.

I think your avatar is pushing boundaries. It is highly insensitive to depressed sea lions. I'll let it go this time, but next time I'm calling a mod!

Forward the U2U to me or another moderator.

We'll have a nice little talk with them.

Promise.

thanks for the offer and if i felt the member was going to contiue i would but it's all good.

the image in question was dexter and that member pm'd me back and said what was what.

just my rant for the day...i was more confused than anything cause i did not see anything near religious boundries..

thanks though byrd.

it's all good though.

lets keep ranting though, shall we.

besides, said member said something positive about zappa so, all is forgiven. giving them a mulligan

Keep the rants going man. I see nothing wrong with the avatars:

1) I've never watched Dexter, buts what wrong with an avatar of a man with a bloody knife? He could be using it in the name of Christianity or something.

2) Zappa rules. Any Zappa avatar is a good avatar.

U2U me or complain to one of the mods if I have offended you.

What's wrong with pushing religious boundary's anyway?

^ My thoughts exactly.

If we can discuss our religious beliefs, why wouldn't we be allowed to portray them in our avatars? Wow.

What a n00b.
