I found this wierd yellow powder all over the ground after it rains. I want to know what it is. I have gathered some for testing but, I dont know where I would go to get it tested. What could it be?

Without seeing any...

One guess is pollen.
Another guess is some type of precipitate mineral that the moisture pulled from the ground...

hard to say without more details....

Most of the plants are dead right now, its too cold in canada during fall for pollen. There seems to be a very large amount and its everywhere. My car that I dont drive right now, is covered in it. Its a very bright, artifical looking powder. It has no smell, it stained my finger but eventually went away. When it touches water, you can see the water turn yellow as the powder seems to float atop the water. Theres so much that is streches about 20-25 feet on my curb and half a foot wide. It seems to be very fine.

Hmm.
I'm still trying to get a picture of the dispersion.
Is it confinded to one area around your home? (20-25 ft radius?)
Sorry just trying to get a better idea of what your describing.
Could you take a picture?

Clouds of pollen have been known to get carried long distances..

Have there been any fires in the area (or outlying areas) where you live?
I've seen soot and ash similar to what you've described here in Las Vegas as fall-out from the Southern California fires...

Regards.

Can you go out and take a picture....then post it here.

It might help some tell you what it could be.

Do you have a local public health department you can contact? Maybe they have received calls from other concerned citizens and may already know what it is.

I'd still collect a sample as it sounds from your description, not something isolated to your property. If you don't get answers contact a news agency.

That has been reported before in threads concerning the appearance of yellowish matter left on cars and other inanimate objects after rain when there has been an especially high occurance of what some call "chemtrails" which others insist do not exist.

Did you notice if there were alot of trails in the sky before the rain? Alot of criss crossing trails which did not disperse very quickly?

I wonder if the CDC would be interested in testing the material, or maybe the EPA in your area.

I will try to take a picture tomorrow. It seems to be in the backyard, frontyard, on my fence and on my car. Mostly there are small traces around my whole house. And a big crapload on my front curb. If it helps, we have had a big wind storm. We have had no fires that I'm aware of. Its the rainy season here.

When i was living in the southern California Vally, this happen a few times.

It was odd, and people said it was pollen, and i left it at that.

Could be something else though.

Check it out if you can.

We tend to get alot of what appear to be chemtrails here. I noticed chemtrails during the day in question, yes.

We are having a bad wind storm coming through so I hope this stuff is still there tomorrow... I will try to take a picture. I will have to borrow my friends digital camera.

Hi i live in England and recently in my home town the local paper have been following a story .
The story is that of white powder being found on the streets , mysteriously.
No-one knows where it is from but they think it may be from runners.
On lady who runs said they leave the powder behind them to mark the root for other runners to follow as it is more enviromenatlly freindlyer than paper.
Truth is no-one knows though as its been found away from the runners root.

Its pollen, I live in northern washinton state, and we get it every year. its from the big evergreens, the douglas firs are real bad about it. It hasnt been very cold yet so it hasnt started here, but it will. Make sure you wash this stuff off your car, I let mine go last year, and i glued its self on. took hours to scrpe it all out of the nooks and crannys.
