"Since the termination of Project Blue Book, nothing has occurred that would support a resumption of UFO investigations," the Air Force said on its Web site.

REALLY?

so since 1969 nothing has occurred.

I don't think we know yet that "UFO's are going to be in the news", the powers that be are so hard to predict on this issue.

I don’t think there will be disclosure ... yet. If anything, I think there will be more disinfo spread around. Lets face it there are so many crackpots out there doing such a good job for the Government, they just sit back and laugh.

I heard Stephen Bassett one night on Coast to Coast say there's going to be disclosure in the U.S. if the next president is a Democrat.

That's a good question, but I think we're talking about being in the news, and not laughed at like they're a big joke.

Reminds me of the time I saw a UFO back in the winter of 1932, I was a jolly young chap, I was playing in the snow one morning minding my own business. I built a fine snowman, with a pair of buttons for eyes and an old scrubbing brush made a fine a mustache. It was later that day Windston - an old friend of many years popped around for a chat, he helped with the construction, finding a stick nearby he skillfully fashioned it by pocket knife to resemble a fine nose. Now that my snowman was complete we went back inside to open my presents, ah yes I remember now it was Christmas day - one not to be forgotten for many years, I say we were soon suprised to hear a loud noise outside - Susan came with us to investigate and to our dismay the snowman had melted. Above there was a bright light, I believe none of us could identify it, only today do I realise that I had infact bore witness to a UFO.

I like Stephen Bassett, but I think he is sadly mistaken if he thinks a Democrat in the White House will bring about disclosure.

Others have tried and failed

Yeah, I forget where I heard this, but I think Carter, Bush, and Clinton all made allusions to disclosure. But none of them achieved it. I think Bush didn't even try (in fact he worked against it)...

p.s. Stephen Bassett is one of the most credible people though who would suggest this. Even if say like a Budd Hopkins or Stanton Friedman said it, I'd be less likely to believe them.

I highly doubt that UFOs will be in the news from now on just because yesterday's National Press Conference did receive some minor coverage in some media.
The mainstream media will simply continue to treat this topic only in a light-hearted category as they have always been doing.
It will continue to be in the lowest priority as far as new coverage is concerned. This will only change when the government and the populace is fully ready to accept a paradigm shift in understanding of what "reality" is. When that will be is anyone's guess.

I feel bad 4 the fallen Democrats slashed and Burned, now they proball y are on ATS as some of the administrators, Just Kidding,

but if another Demo does try all they are gonna do is kick out of office or maybe assasination, even though we have to have a president through war, they would probally go with assasination.

I am really excited about this, and worried at the same time.

Folks, lets not forget who did 9/11? Sorry if there are official story believers out there but keep in mind that the Illuminati want to fulfill this global enslavement plan. They want a totalitarian government. We also do have National ID cards on the way yes? And Micro Chips?

I almost bought into the CNN news network, Larry King and others, but these government officials are doing this for a reason.. here are my theories.

1.) The government wants to confirm that extra terrestrials exist and that they are a threat to humanity, therefore getting us to beg for protection. Which they will gladly do.

2.) The government is going to carry out "Project Blue Beam", in which they, themselves will be operating this craft and destroying cities, just like the big movies you see like Independence Day, Mars Attacks, War of the Worlds.. the media wants people to FEAR, so does the news, and the government in order to give up your rights. Yes?
People will believe anything said on the news. Well most of the time they do.

3.) There is a real war out in space and they are coming here, getting ready to invade. The government is slowly releasing information regarding UFOs which is the first step and then later on, the ETs. < This may be likely.

I dont' have anymore theories, lol but it's very nerve racking and exciting what is taking place here. Just wait, there will be more!

Hillary won't even let us read her college thesis, so I don't know why she would want to bring about disclosure.

In that article you posted it said:

"A panelist who once worked for Britain's Ministry of Defense said 5 percent of incidents cannot be explained."

Isn't 5% a good enough reason ???

According to government, it only took 1 plane to
bring down a 110 story steel framed structure.
Just think what a 186,000 MPH UFO could do

I am open to more direct media coverage and think that it is a good idea on the part of the Government to do it in this manner. As people get desensitized to the subject more and more it will make their end so much easier.
I can not find a single day on Satellite TV when there is not some show covering the old stories. To me this is breaking people in slowly.
You will know it is getting closer when you see more recent stuff being pushed. It is entirely possible the plan is for the people themselves to make the disclosure and for the Governments to continue to drizzle out the declassified documents.

Indeed that's quite right, i'm right with you on that one, just remember next time your found, with your chin on the ground there a lot to be learned, so lets look around and see the UFO's for everyone.
From an ET perspective, they must sometimes be thinking just what makes those little old ants think they'll move that rubber tree plant though anyone knows an ant, in fact can't, move a rubber tree plant but hes got high hopes, hes got high hopes - Hes got high apple pie, in the sky hopes.
