You say it like its a bad thing.

they want to be able to terrorize anyone they want, at any time they want.

Oh boy, here we go again with your hate America talk. You never have anything of value to add to a discussion except to say America is bad.

I'm assuming because 4thdoctorwhofan replied right after me, his reply is likely directed right at me... lucky for me, I grew tired of his avatar and put him on ignore.

If I'm right, someone U2U me, should be funny.

Anyhow. I remember the Russians getting a little ticked off by the US placing anti-missile systems on the Russian border.

Perhaps this is justification to place missile defense systems around the US border. They wouldn't be able to justify a strike against those sites.

Hey, it's only fair.

You put someone on ignore because of their avatar??

If I'm right, someone U2U me, should be funny.

Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of using the ignore feature?

If you want to know, then turn off the ignore.

Actually his avatar's changed. It's kinda weird, but ok I guess. And yes his post was directed at you, although it seems like a case of 'the pot calling the kettle black' to me.

Anyway, can we get back on topic now?

You do realise the evil man is already there, has already grabbed power and is already armed to the teeth, his name is G W Bush.

I suppose you think Englands rulers have been paragons of virtue? As far as I can tell Brown and Blair are nothing but yes men for the globalist bankers in London and the bureaucrats in Brussels. I suppose England has never used her military power against a foreign nation before. Also last time I checked you folks were accelerating towards tyranny at even a faster clip than the US if it were possible. What with the surveillance cameras everywhere and the loss of the freedom of speech, I'd say you folks have out-Bushed Bush.

Screaming about America's imperialism is bit like the pot calling the kettle black I'd say. Besides what's wrong with a little imperialism now and then? Heck I even admire 19th century England, they made a lot of progress in christianizing the heathen. The irony is that now Africa's Anglicans are more christian than Britains Anglicans.

Sweet!!! I love it. Now finally something i can get behind for the gov't spending my money. I just wanna know how many of these bad boys can we get up and there and when? If we're just gonna sit here with a blind eye and let all these other countries get nukes because certain other countries (who shall remain nameless) keep us from stopping them, then lets step up our game.

Don't worry Hillary will put a stop to this. After all she pretty much is owned by the Chinese. Otherwise the millions she received from poor Chinese neighborhoods over the last few months would go to waste.

First the thread title is misleading. This is not a space missile, it is a hypersonic cruise vehicle (HCV) that drops a payload on target anywhere in the world within 2 hours. It isn't based in outerspace, it is based on the ground, so it is not a space based weapon. I hope we all understand that.

Now that we know what the article is about let's stay on topic. I do want to thank the OP for starting this thread since this is a pretty cool idea.

Yeah, let's completely ignore the fact that America has spent more money to help other countries and feed the hungry around the world than any other nation in HISTORY. And even more, there isn't a country in the existence of this planet that has shed more of its own blood for the benefit of other citizens than the United States.

But, since we spend money to defend our people rather than giving it all to the poor of the world, we're bad? Forget all the other countries that do little-to-nothing to help others!

Maybe you should go complain to a country like China. It seems that they're rolling in the dough lately. Do they feed anyone besides North Koreans? Just curious. Because I'm wondering why it is that the US should give more rather than other countries.

But more importantly, I'm glad that our government is working on advanced weaponry like this. You guys are really naive if you think that countries like China and Russia aren't working on similar things. You're even more naive if you think that us not developing such weapons will keep other countries from doing so! Maybe we can have them sign a piece of paper and shake their hand, and then they won't put weapons in space! Then we can have North Korea sign another treaty saying that they won't develope anymore nuclear weapons!

Unfortunately, we live in the real world. And the longer you guys continue to blame the US and refuse to recognize that EVIL actually exists in the world and actually wants to kill us, the more danger we will be in.

Unlike you, I can admit faults with my country and do not get so so touchy when someone points them out.

The whole country hates Blair for going along with the US, the difference is people like you defend the US for whatever they do.

If they can have such weapons, I want remote detonators for a Taser in their pants, in case they get out of hand. Oops! They already are.

Click!

I wonder if that worked? Click! Hmm,, better make sure. Click! Click! Click!

How did a sociopath military get so completely stupid and clueless too? Like they are saying, "Lets blow up the world so we can control those who want to blow up the world."

Their ignorance is profound. Weak links.

a small minor detail - an SLBM is a first strike weapon - so if this ever gets used, anyone with there own ICBM`s or SLBM`s will launch , who knows what the payload is and wheres it going - you mean other countries will actually trust the usa when they say `its not targeted at you` -

not a chance , so they will use `em or lose `em.

stupid idea and a great way to start a global nuclear war.

No, take it like a man.

We are politically and militarily complete asses and really cannot be excused because of the generosity of those of us that care. The good people who are helping others are not the ones that are lieing, killing and with horrendous control issues in the name of USA.

I am completely embarrassed for the policies and militaristic anti-intelligent low awareness in control. The ones doing these things should be gathered and put on an island to slash at each other forever like the primitive violent pre-humans they are.

BTW, your "real world" as you call it is Hell. I'm so not going there. You can have it, but get it away from here if you can. No one else wants it either who have more then two neurons for a brain.

You really need to set your alarm to wake up as soon as possible. Your mind is walking off a cliff. Extinction cliff. You don't really want to think in the way they want you to think, do you? It's not really in anyones interest, except really their own fetish for power.

Sorry to burst your bubble but this policy has worked so far.

'Mutual assured destruction' has NOT given us a nuclear war thus far.

I hear ya, however I disagree. I guess we just have different opinions with no middle ground. It was nice having a civil discussion on these forums for once.

As the man was falling past the office window from many stories up, saying to the startled person seeing him;
"Well I ain't dead yet."

The policy of fear has entropy at it's heart. As the weapons get more powerful and less controllable, a simple accident is mutually assured destruction.

I don't think your argument (the military argument) is rational and takes into account reality. That reality being we screw up too much to keep building an empire on top of a pile of explosives. Some dip will drop a match and that will do the job of the enemy.

"I have seen the enemy, and the enemy is us."

Crikey, that's going to be a while then isn't it!
I'm not sure how you can marry allowing the U.S. to have these weapons, and then to mention 'the prince of peace'?

Faulty, faulty, misguided and just plain wrong in my opinion.

Goodness me, there is no hope as long as attitudes such as this prevail.
Those poor, poor backwards heathens, they must be so much better off under christianity, especially since Jebus is portrayed, mostly, as a white man.

I think its just the opposite. There is no way every country will eliminate their nuclear arsenal. If you only have one country with nukes then what is to prevent them from using the nukes since they would not have to worry about retalitation.

Another bull# story asking for money for something they already have. Space nukes were done by the russians. And im sure USA built some as well.
