A Few Things I Have Learned in 27 Years.

I thought I would start this thread and share with you guys a few things that I have learned in my 27 years on this Earth. Keep in mind that everything I have "learned" is subject to change given that something more logical is discovered by myself or others.


-Women do not understand women, therefore it's wasted effort for men to try to understand them.

-Being born a white male, anything I have to say in regards to another race is, by default, "racist".

-If you have to ask for love or an apology in order to receive them, they are not genuine when given.

-Apathy is likely the worst disease that mankind faces.

-Political Correctness does nothing but further drive a wedge between people.

-In the eyes of some, it is not possible to simply be "American".

-Laughter is the best medicine.

-Nothing in life is free.

-Love is the best AND worst drug in the world.

-Internet dating is ALWAYS a bad idea.

-The only difference between a lover and a fighter is circumstance.

-Being motivated is not always a good thing.

-Organized religion isn't very organized.

-Dogs and cats lead much happier lives.

-The Sopranos was the best drama series ever produced.

-Reptilians have a knack for politics. (haha)

-Being a "hot chick" or having a "hot chick" in your avatar photo = many friends on ATS and a small amount of worship regardless of your posts.

-Regardless of what you say, there will always be a certain number of people that completely turn your words around to mean what they want them to mean.

-Never trust a doctor.

-The new "kings" and "queens" are bankers.

-Life is only short in retrospect. If you don't believe this, try waiting two weeks on a paycheck when you are flat broke and starving.

-Family is EVERYTHING.

-Even the most open minded of people can completely close their mind to anything they don't want to believe.

-Compassion is usually not earned.

-Never do business with family or friends unless you are prepared to lose them.

-People are indeed animals.

-Alcohol and drugs are the "easy way out".

-Defending the Constitution of the United States is unAmerican.

-Conspiracy Theorists are crazy.

-Reading is a luxury.

-It is impossible to be happy with anyone until you are happy with yourself.

-If you want to live forever, marry the wrong person.

-I thought I knew everything at 17 and I really knew nothing.

-If you keep looking to the skies for answers and happiness, you'll never find either.

-"Good" looks can bring you fame and fortune regardless of how damn stupid you are.

-Even the most envied of people are still envious of someone else.

-The love of money is the root of MOST evil.

-The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

-You never really know someone until you have lived with them.

-Ignorance isn't bliss.




Well, that's but a few of the things I have learned during 27 years on this Earth. Hope you enjoyed them and perhaps I'll add more later.
