Yo,

I've got a question that I hope somebody can help me with. Some times, and now just a few seconds ago, which prompted me to make this post, when I sit and do something, like surf on the net or watch TV, for just a nano-second or so, it seems as if the entire room I'm in, becomes pitch black. Almost as if there's been an incredibly short power failure or something. It only lasts for a nano-second or so, almost as if I'm blinking, although of course, I'm not. So, the short story is, I'm wondering if this is what are connonly referred to as "Shadow people", or if it's something else entirely, or if there's a natural explanation to this?

Well, thanx in advance.
It's kinda spooky, actually.

Later.

that doesnt sound like what shadow people. Is the light on or is the computer all the light you have? Most common explaination is you do not realize you are blinking, this happens to me alot, but i might be wrong.

Alright, it might be that, but my room is completely lit up right now. And, well, I don't feel as if I'm blinking. Although my senses can of course trick me, I don't think that I am blinking when it happens. But I should mention, that because it happens so fast, I can't tell if it really is the entire room that is blacked out, or just a small part of it, for example, a part in the shape of a humanoid thingie.

I know that's not very helpful, but I just hope somebody can give me an answer. And your theory is appreciated, Reneau.

I would say one explanation could be if there is a window in the room and the sun goes behind a cloud for a moment the room dims.

I know that is something we've all experienced, and I'm sure you'd be able to tell the difference. Just thought I'd throw it out there.

Yeah, thanks for pointing it out.
But it's in the middle of the night over here right now, so I'm sure that it's not because the sun goes behind the clouds.

happens to me all the time, I know exactly what your talking about.. and I have asked people around me b4 and seen people spot this happen as I do too.

I don't believe its blinking because.. well.. it's too fast, I try, and I cant come close to blinking that fast and it almost seems like a different 'effect' when i just blink.

I'm not sure if it's the actual blink speed or if its my pupils adjusting when I blink but it takes longer then this.... thingy.

I can not come to a conclusion to what this is.. i have thought about it being a very fast brown out, maybe so fast we aren't suppose to notice it.

Or possible, maybe, your eye's losing connection momentarily lol.

I'm gunna stick with it being a bug in our system casing our processors to slow down and skip a frame of animation... thats assuming your a robit though.

Heh, thanks, it's good to know I'm not alone in experiencing this.
And who knows, maybe Iäm a robot without knowing it?

That happenes to me from time to time as well, but I don’t believe it to be anything supernatural. I am not sure what causes it, but I am pretty sure its neurological or optical.

Yeah, you're probably right. The only reason I posted here in the "Paranormal" forum was because it reminded me of what I've read about shadow people. But it's still kind of creepy.

I cannot say it ever creeped me out, but it probably creeps out those around me when I ask them, “did the power just blink off for a second?”

Perhaps your brain is failing. You should have your optical nerves replaced with fiber optic wiring...lol. And your pupils replaced with cell phone cameras.

with my experiences, it seems as though it's the "shadow people" just messing with me. it's like if someone waves their hand in front of your face. Be on the lookout for humanoid shapes coming soon....

1. it could be caused by a shortage of circuits in the power lines. its nothing too serious or abnormal. happens all the time. power doesn't always just keep on running. that nanosecond is if a distortion in the lines happen.
