Perfection of Intelligence

I have taken my time and swept through a reasonably huge amount of writings and ramblings about aliens, ufo's and stuff that is related. I have seen these subjects evolve as predicted by anthropologists (but that's not the point of this thread, now, but I can start a new one about it if somebody is interested).

Back then, when I first got access to internet there were a few thousand sites and thats it. No porn, no forums, no nothing as advanced as today. Just information. Ufology and such were almost the first subjects of folklore and knowledge to ever surface online. There were educational sites, sites of universities, a few companies and, well, ufology. It has been online since the beginning, but enough of my memories of the past - we are not interested about that, either.

What I have seen is not that important, but what I have not seen is more so. It may very well be that I have just missed certain articles, books or stuff like that, but there are some areas that have barely ever been touched by any serious researcher.

What if, by some chance, all of the logical structures created to explain ufo's just do not make sense because aliens themselves aren't that perfect. We could imagine a human being living a life without a single mistake and take it as an absurd impossibility for granted.

They may have had enough time to conquer most of physics and by aid of that knowledge they may have reached us, but does it make sense that they have advanced to perfection in sciences that relate to their biology and abstract reasoning? Could it be that they, too, have leftovers from evolution that do not walk hand in hand and especially not at the same speed with their advancement of tecnology?

You know the trend - biological human evolution cannot possibly keep up with the immense speed of change (because of tecnology) in the environment where we live our interacted lifes.

Perhaps they cannot think every possible outcome and have arrived here, done some interaction and in that made a huge mistake, one possibly being the birth of some religions and sacred texts describing things that would be magic and godly capability to a nonadvanced biological being.

Maybe it is because of things like these, mistakes, that they do not wish to reveal themselves anymore. They may very well know, that despite all their technology they cannot really predict human behaviour perfectly, just as they possibly cannot explain their own neural pathways perfectly.

Almost all ufology, to some extent, relies of perfection of intelligence by alien beings. You can see it quite clearly, if you read enough of it. For some certain reasons I think its unreasonable to think that everything they do causes a pefect outcome for them, for us, or both of us. That just cannot happen.

Interesting view point. I agree with you on some points. The common denominator here is, aliens...if they do indeed exist, are definitely not perfect and do make mistakes.

Immediately the story came to mind of a crashed UFO. This particular UFO did not crash as a direct result of the occupants other than the fact they didnt take into account human ingenuity and our ability to create. The UFO was downed by a new technology, developed by humans predominantly for humans. Although it was not designed as a weapon, the very principals of which it operated on, would cause a dramatic effect upon the UFO's.

This new technology was a system that uses electromagnetic waves to identify the range, altitude, direction, or speed of both moving and fixed objects such as aircraft, ships, motor vehicles, weather formations, and terrain. Yep you guessed it... RADAR.


Point being, if this event did in fact take place, the aliens made a grave miscalculation, they did not predict the advent of radar and suffered the loss of craft and personnel due to their IMPERFECTION.

First I agree if they exist, we may only see small groups of pirate like aliens, and not a invasion thing, maybe the ones we see our on a joy ride, we can easily attribute less social organization to there actions to explain aliens. So many people want them to always be a organized entire civilization thing.

Also if you assume biological entities would develop computers and those computers would eventually reach equal or greater intelligence, then Aliens are computers.

Why It solves the whole mess of having to travel faster then light, if you are a computer you are immortal as long as you can back up the data that is you. Bio units can not at this time back up the brain, at least not on Earth.

I make this point, because an immortal would be more willing to take a 1000 year journey across space. So might you say they make no mistakes being computers, nope that is wrong to. Any good AI program intentional adds some degree of failure to get out of the box thinking, basically a little randomization in making choices so that every unit will not do the same thing. If these randoms stack up just right they can make a mistake.

The current additude appears to be something in between of "humanity is a loser" and "humanity is incapable of x". The latter demonstrates most of critique by saying that because we are not ourselves perfect yet, we must for some stupid reason assume that alines actually are, and by that reason that they are just too capable to be within our reasoning.

Every and all of intelligence agrees that in everything there is development to be made, because world changes. Their world has changed too, and will be in the chain of change as long as any development is in existence.

However, aliens cannot possibly be impossible for us to conquer as being a superior race in this galaxy. For all intelligence, it must be in some way possible unless a determined biological constant is against something.

You could use machines to calculate illogicalities based on large amount of data about reasons, consequences and results of any given civilization. That can, or cannot be, right. It is because of intuition which is not deduction, thus unreachable by logical ai.
