I recently was further introduced to the actual text of the infamous "White Horse Prophecy"

For those of you that are not familiar with the prophecy let me elaborate.

The prophecy was given in 1843 by Joseph Smith.
For those of you unfamiliar with Joseph Smith he was the first prophet of the modern Church Of Jesus Christ.

Regardless of whether you believe in the church or not is irrelevant, i only wish to hear what you have to say about this prophecy.

Considering it was predicted in 1843 it is simply incredible the amount of correct predictions Joseph Smith made.

Here is the link to the prophecy:

Please let me know what you think about it.

And if you are really interested in what you read this link goes into incredible detail about every aspect of the prophecy.

(note the four different colored horses mentioned are the four different riders described in revelations)

Yaaaaaa.... the Joe that took the golden plates and killed the former owner cause God told him to. Also had a fish speak to him. Any God that instructs you to kill is no God to me. Mormons are flakey.

Another point I forgot to add is that he predicts in the final battle of the Earth that the evil opposing army "will be called Gog and Magog"

Magog is the name given to George W. Bush in the order of the Skull and Bones.

Thought that was interesting

To jpm1602
Just read the prediction.
This isn't about debating whether or not mormons are "flakey"

Here are some of my favorite quotes from the prophecy:

"A terrible revolution will take place in the land of America, such as has never been seen before; for the land will be literally left without a supreme government, and every species of wickedness will run rampant. Father will be against son, and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother. The most terrible scenes of murder and bloodshed and rapine that have ever been looked upon will take place. Peace will be taken from the earth and there will be no peace only in the Rocky Mountains. This will cause many hundreds and thousands of the honest in heart to gather there; not because they would be saints but for safety and because they would not take up the sword against their neighbor."

"England and France are now bitter enemies, but they will be allied together and be united to keep Russia from conquering the world."

and
"The two Popes, Greek and Catholic, will come together and be united."

These are incredible predications considering they were all made in 1843!

This prophecy reads very interestingly. The references to horses to me mean strength, (horse power).

I am also left questioning why there is no mention of Canada, are we that invisible to the world. Not complaining mind you but very few of these predictions point its finger at us, but seem to always point to the U.S.

Just thinking out loud here, carry on.

I am opposed to any prophecy that a mormon has put forth.

Why are you opposed to any prophecy a mormon puts forth?

Just curious

I would encourage you to just read it.

Do you think that the things he prophesied would come to pass are plausible?

Interesting. i wonder if this has anything to do with the Two White-Horse-Hills in England. I have visited one and seen the other, always wondered what they are there for. Do you know?

Lest we not forget that prophecy is not a true prediction of the times but a warning of thing which could be- and therefore avoided.

It is odd that GW Bush is considered Magog- but then again arrogance has no bounds!

Personally, I think Nostradamus was more accurate.

i enjoyed reading this prophecy, thank you for posting it.

it is always interesting listening to someone speak whom really seems to hold some prophetic power. i was raised in the mormon faith and as i was reading the text, i felt like i was 10 years old again listening reverently to the mumbo-jumbo of my father and other elders. in that sense, although i have now declined membership in the church, a part of me takes this prediction all too seriously.

i feel inclined to say that perhaps others on this board should take it seriously, too.

Hello everyone. My name is St. Joseph (Well Gary J Lew) I look forward to seeing you all in the Mountains. Now is not the time. You will know when the time is because it will be natural and just happen. To everyone, we are all one.

There there, plucky, that's not the scariest thing; if Bush messes with
Iran, we would need to be a little scared.

I recently heard that Iran has "Registration for Martyrdom", required for
all it's citizens above age 13! Every year!

Instead of a draft into military service, where soldiers are trained, and
armed for a fight, I guess it means they can drape explosives around
everyone, and send them at thier enemies! Sounds like Iraq, only on
steroids!

The white horse prophecy was not written by Mr. Smith. But Revelations wrote about it first. You should take time to write down the prophecy.

Hi/
Interesting read!
But,
Greek Orthodox do not have a Pope!
The priesthood is as it was in the Old Testament...
Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church..

IX
helen
Edit to add.....Catholic?
Universal.
Greek is a nationality.
Roman Catholics have a Pope, of which the Greek Orthodox do not!
''An Overseer'' is another word for 'Bishop' and ALL are equal in the Orthodox Church...

The reason I mentioned Catholic is because the Nicene Creed reads.....I believe in One God, Father almighty etc............
And In one Holy Catholic(Universal)and Apostolic Church etc......
And many people assume that this is the Roman Catholic Church of which was with communion with the Eastern Orthodox Church in Constantinople.
But, thats another time........prophecy speaks of....
